A new hotfix update has dropped for Assetto Corsa Competizione - addressing many of the issues found within the sim post V1 release last week.

Having come in for criticism from some corners of the community following the full 'Version 1' release of Assetto Corsa Competizione last week, Italian development team Kunos Simulazioni have deployed a substantial new update to the title in order to address some of the issues initially reported by the community.

Although very much a work-in-progress as far as further development tweaks are concerned, the new hotfix release is still a rather welcome patch to the game, and addresses several of the more pressing issues reported by the sim racing community to date.

Of the highlights from the new build, the fix for a multiplayer join crash has to be one of the most prominent notes within the change log - hopefully resolving an issue that has affected a considerable number of players to date.

Unfortunately, the troubled VR implementation within the title remains unaddressed within this latest update, and with many players who prefer using their VR headset of choice still having difficulties running the software at an acceptable performance level, one hopes Kunos will look at address this issue with a further hotfix release in the near future.

Well, that didn't work either. The problems have now worsened. For example, just moving the cursor around the menu is laggy. You cannot select 'Options'. You cannot even select 'Exit'. You cannot select 'Career' or 'Events'. All you can do is select the last mode you played. And then you cannot even select 'START SESSION'. Keep in mind, my specs in my signature and this is on an SSD drive now as opposed to my 'HDD'.

Dont feel like it is just you. i9-9900 and 2080Ti and I am having a load of issues too.

How is item 1. on this list not:

1. Stopped the game randomly crashing causing users to have to log out or reboot their PC

I am enjoying the game during a race but pulling my hair out with most other aspects of it

Because that's clearly not happening to most people. It sucks that there's something wrong with ACC on your PC, there's clearly something weird going on. But you can't assume that your experience is the universal experience.

I can't speak for 'most' people, apparently you can but it seems like a fairly widely reported issue to me; regardless it's the only game in my Steam library that suffers from crashes, and in such a way whereby I can't kill the game from Task Manager, Alt+F4, etc.
Even if this affected 10% of users, I would still expect it to find it's way to the top of the bug list, no?

....Maybe because you're speeding in the pitlane?

I've moved off on the limiter (it's set to automatic in settings). The limiter automatically cuts off (again by itself as it's set to auto) at the end of the limited section i presume and i get disqualified.

I haven't even gotten to the end of the pit lane.

Edit: I haven't had any issues going into the pits i may add. Just exiting at the start of a new race.

UE4 4.2.2 shouldn't be pushed through.
I think it should have been pushed through during the beginning of the EA. I was surprised when they said on the official forums that they will change the engine for the release, all the good optimizations and fine-tuning they made for the old engine that we saw in the last EA release pretty much went down the toilet :(

4.2.2 was a ue4 engine update. Acc was running another version of ue4 on EA.

If you change to second gear, the pit limiter switch off automaticaly. Is this what happened??

Yes, I know, but they could have switched to that version earlier during the EA, this way they would have had more time to optimize/tweak for the 4.2.2 engine.

First.. it's Unreal Engine 4.22 and not 4.2.2 .
Second.. 4.22 was released on April 2nd, 1 day before the release of ACC 0.7.
We moved to 4.22, as soon as we could, about 2-3 weeks later after the the hotfixes for 0.7 were done.

Third.. if we didn't move, there would be posts all over the internet saying we're lazy idiots for not moving to 4.22 because it's amazing, super fast, it fills VR with awesomeness and it makes coffee for you during pitstops.

Why do not you publish that in the changelog? Then many understand better why there are still problems.
And also the annoyance of the people is less. Or not?

I can report that I don't have any issues or crashes at all. Win10 64b 1903, 6700k, gtx1080 simucube large mige, oculus rift. But I was only running singleplayer so far. But spent a lot of hours for hotlapping and ai-races.The only thing that annoys me is the fact that I often can't see the menus when using the oculus rift because they are hidden behind the car (mirrors etc...). So I always have to count my left and richt clicks to get into the desired menu. And the mouse pointer is also missing. That really sucks!
