Alright when was that again.....?

Max Chilton 2.0

Nice to see all the encouraging words here, but this has failure written all over it.

His first rolling start should be quite the adventure.

As a top driver you need somone who can sit in the car and follow you. Help keep rivals off. This has been problem at Red Bull Maxis team mates are off his pace making Max do the majority of work. Meaning the team are low in constructors championship.

For sure Hamilton does not want Max as a team mate, wonder why?:sneaky:
...and you've gone with this as a title:
Hamilton signs contract with NO MAX permision.
If this is for real maybe you can indicate your source? Wild claims like this have been circulating for ages but who knows if there's any truth to them. (I seriously doubt that Mercedes would admit to it even if it were true, which would keep it pretty much in the "rumour" zone.)

Agree @Neilski

So here are some "facts"

Source Lewis Hamilton contract: Mercedes man has four demands to sign new deal | GiveMeSport

Quote:

Firstly, Hamilton has requested a pay rise that would see him earn a whopping £35.5 million per year; the highest salary in all of F1.

More controversially, though, Hamilton also wants a 10% share of Mercedes prize money should the side lift an eighth-straight title. Based on the 2020 pot, this would amount to a £13 million windfall for Hamilton.

He has also asked that Mercedes gift him one of their upcoming, limited-production AMG One cars. A limited-run of 250 of the two-door coupes, which will feature F1-derived technology, are set to be produced - and Hamilton wants one to be set aside for him.

Finally, Hamilton also wants to be guaranteed a 'hands-on' role with the team, helping them in making the electric transition. Reports suggest that Hamilton expects this to be more than just a figurehead-type position.

More ground effect, and mechanical grip, with less complexity in the cockpit I think are all good idea, however...

What if the drivers were allowed to carry special charms in the cars with them? Things like... banana peels, turtle shells, giant mushrooms, and 'stars' among other things?

No, opposite, less aero, that makes cars easier to develop.
