thx, must be Silverstone cause that's where the first ever formula 1 race was held, races before WWII not counting since there was no series but just single grand prixs (if I remember correctly).
ok, didn't know either the racer or the car before I dug it up (and I must admit I "smeared" the driver's name away, would have been too easy). Ha, you gotta love this guys's name, pure opera.
I am gonna try this one wihtout even checking for info The car is a Maki-Ford, that I am sure of and i am 99,9% sure it is 1975. I think the driver was Fushida or something like that... I will say Nordshleife as track... ?
Yep, it is Tony Trimmer. Saw it know when checking it When Eckhart cleares it as correct you can post the next pic if you like, I have done so many now
@Eckhart: I knew the car and driver (though it was not the right one at this race) from making the entire season (cars only) for a little game called GeneRally This one really stuck to my mind since I never heared of it before.
Thankyou. Tony Trimmer was very successful over here in F5000 in the 1970's, and still races them in historic meetings. He never got a chance in a decent Grand Prix car though.
Try this one. Not sure if its fair to ask for the track, as there is nothing to go by, so is car and driver OK?
(Sorry its an attachment, cant seem to work out how to embed the image with the text)
looks like a Lotus, year maybe 79 or 80, it's at any rate a wing car, so it must around that time. track is probably a street circuit. nigel mansell in 79 at monaco?
Joakim Bonnier, Porsche F1-804, 1962, track: Green Hell, grand prix of Germany, exactly two years before I was born (nice touch Andreas), Bonnier started 6th and came in 7th. Great car.
