Hi,
I don't know if this has been reported yet, but there is a bug (in my view) in the latest release, it is not possible to have the car category in the filter (at the top of the toolbar) empty. I once selected GT4, but now I cannot have it empty to see all the races regardless of the car category, I must choose one (see screenshot). For all the other filters, they can be empty.
Thanks,
Rv

Yes…that sounds like a bug. I’ll get it fixed

So I'm having a little trouble with the fuel calculator. This is my first time trying to use the program, so admittedly, it may be user error. I am using the Ford Mustang GT3.

None of the fields ever populate in the fuel section. Even if I check the "manual" option and input all the data I have (fuel litre/lap, race distance in minutes). I then select "recalculate" and it will momentarily flash a number in the final box, but it disappears as fast as it appears. It's very odd.

I can take screenshots/videos if necessary. I have not tested with other vehicles yet, as I am in the middle of racing a season with this car. Any tips for how to get the fuel calc to work properly would be greatly appreciated.

I’m out of the country at the moment so can’t check if anything is odd. I’ll look when I’m back at the weekend.

However, the fuel calculator works off past fuel consumption. It needs at least 2 laps on a track (not in hot lap though) to be able to store fuel consumption for new sessions.

The manual option should just allow you to override a fuel/lap. It sounds as though this is misbehaving. I’ll check

Much appreciated, and thanks for the hasty reply, though it certainly isn't an urgent problem. Take care!

Edit: Being new to this particular scene, and ACC as well, It's easier for me to describe my actions than it is to say whether or not I'm doing this or that.

Conditions: I only began using this tool in Rd. 2 of the championship.
1. Custom championship. 4th round @ COTA
2. Mustang GT3
3. 5 minute quali session (1 round)
4. 60 min race w/ refueling allowed.

Hopefully that gives some context to my actions. Here is a quick video of it. Maybe you can tell me if I'm doing it wrong.

I've checked and the manual calculation should be working - there might be errors generated - can you export diagnostics and I'll see what is going on (instructions here)

By the way, the Re-calcuate button is just required only if the automatically generated fuel consumption figures aren't updating (not used for manual calc). For more information on how the fuel calculation is supposed to work, press F1 to bring up the help pages.

I'll try to get that to you later today when I get a chance. It might not even be necessary. The automatic fuel estimate worked yesterday for my race at Kylami. It could have just been user-error from the beginning, other than the quick answer flash.

Regardless, I'll give it a try and send you a diag log soon as I'm able.

Hi Doug,

I have a few questions:
For a few races, the program shows that I had a 30+ minute pit stop on the first lap, despite me not doing so. Any idea what might be going on?

Would it be possible to get an explanation of the different Timing Flags? I'm interested in knowing what they mean.

Also, my program does not seem to be picking up penalties. Does it only capture penalties of the player car?

Thanks!

Hi,
You'd have to export diagnostics (instructions here) for me to see what is going on with the pitstop. I assume I'm not resetting a flag properly so maybe counting pit in on qualifying and pit out of race start...or something like that).

Timing flags are really just an internal mechanism to drive to colours for improved laps/sectors - they basically turn bits on or off
ie
  • improved lap = 8192
  • improved sector1 = 512
  • improved sector2=1024
  • imrproved sector 3 = 2048
Note - these can be OR'd together, so 1536 would be 1024+512...improved sector 1 and 2)

ACC doesn't report penalties (only when they are cleared bizarrely enough). If you want to record penalties in a session you have to add these manually. For a full description, bring up the help (F1) and go to Sessions Page->Lap details View->Context menu->Penalties

Hi Doug.
Congratulations for your amazing app. I can not live without it.
Are you planning something similar for other sims? I am thinking in LMU, my other favorite sim. Or AMS2.
Thanks again for your fantastic work. :)

Hi,

This question may have been asked and answered already but I am battling to find an answer. Can ACC Results Companion and Simhub for dashboards be used at the same time?

Cheers,
Hi there,
Firstly, there should be no technical reason why they shouldn't work together. There are 2 published interfaces in ACC - shared memory and UDP. For both, there isn't really a limit on how many clients can connect to each.

I've just done a quick test running ACC-RC with SimHub and both are indeed working.

Which app isn't working - ACC-RC or SimHub? If the former, can you export the diagnostics (instructions here) and I'll see what is happening. If SimHub, you may have to chase their support.

For UDP, they both use the broadcasting.json file in Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Config. This should look something like
JSON:
{
    "updListenerPort": 9000,
    "connectionPassword": "asd",
    "commandPassword": ""
}

Port 9000 and password=asd are the default settings. If not the default, SimHub may have problems if it expects a fixed port (TBH I don't know how it works).

The next question is are any blocking notifications being raised by your firewall? If so, whitelist the above port and both applications (ACCResults.exe for ACC-RC).

Finally, do you use a VPN? I seem to remember someone having a problem a while ago. I had to put a fix into ACC-RC to find the actual local IP address, rather than just localhost

Hi Doug,

Thank you for the response and I must confess I just had thought this would not work, but happy to confirm that everything does in face work.

Thanks for the great app as well.

Hi Doug,

I've found a small bug in version 1.24.6. See the attached screenshot. The bubble help should be of course "Launch ACC".
