ACC 50 Minute Race @ Brands Hatch - Thursday 29th August

Assetto Corsa Competizione Racing Club event
Great racing all, had a blast racing with Harry today! Both pushing 100%, it was going to be down to who made a mistake first and I dropped the ball with a few laps to go. With summer starting to gradually fade out I'm hoping that numbers will start to increase again and we'll see what's what in terms of running a series soon.
Mega fight Chris. Loved it! Thanks for giving me racing room as always! Big pushes

Brands Hatch! Always unpredictable but one of my absolute faves ( biased as it’s my local circuit lol) .
Eventful race, 9 cars on grid but at Brands that seems like 15 hahaha, happy with my set up and strategy, Gary was never far behind from the green light but I pulled a little gap whilst chasing Michael, which I was happy with as I rarely can keep up with the Beamer and Michael, unfortunately I got it wrong trying to avoid poor Johann on the sweeper left coming out of clear ways, I was so close to Michael and he pitched left and I just reacted right to not collect the BMW but alas clipped Johann and took some damage, sorry Johann mate I should have backed off earlier, hope you didn’t have too much damage, from then on I had a lot of understeer and cutting the fast corners out back was hard and mistakes were made, Gary got the better of me in the sister Aston and pulled a good gap, so I relied on an early pit and fix damage and time it so I had clear track and give it a send to make up some time for when Gary exited pits, worked out for me well, so the remaining race was a nice close battle, watched his times come down and was pleased to always have him a cars length away for some close racing. Always good to see you front guys with the blistering pace as always, our club has some proper talent, pleasure racing at Racing Club as always , see you next race all :)

Last night was great fun! I had zero practice going in, decided last minute to take the ol' trusty merc, found an old setup and joined the server. Quali went well, considering the lack of practice, managed to get into the 24s. My first stint was overshadowed by stupid mistakes made by me, missing the breaking point into Surtees twice, and causing an incident with Jay, by blocking the corner (not your fault buddy!). I ended up with 15 secs of damage and had completely lost connection to the front group. My pitstop was ok (for my standards), unfortunately I couldn't see the pit crew, as another car was directly behind my box. I didn't fix the damage and carried on the second stint with 6 to 7 seconds behind Andre. I was pushing hard the entire seconds stint and managed to close the gap to about a seconds with about 10 minutes on the clock. Lucky for me, Andre went a bit wide in T1, so I took his place. From there on, he was chasing me, my tyres on their absolute limit. Somehow I managed to keep the 1 second gap into the finish. That seconds stint made me forget the first one, I had an absolute blast racing again :)

Cheers for organizing the race Chris, and cheers for the race guys!
See you all on that mountain everybody is afraid of (not me though )
