Shedden: 'I had no idea'

TouringCarTimes said:
Gordon Shedden has been left out in the cold after Team Dynamics decided to bring in James Thompson instead. The 30 year old Brit had no idea what was coming.
“That was partly because I was on holiday and had my phone switched off but I had no idea this had been going on in the background," said Shedden to The Sun.

“I am massively disappointed but I have not fallen out with the team, and it is not performance-related.”

While Shedden currently is far from a drive, he is not giving up on finding something new in the near future.

“I don’t know what the future holds. I am no quitter, that’s for sure. I am working as hard as hell to try and get back out there."

Shedden believes that the reason for him getting side lined is due to money.

“That’s the defining factor. I have been gazumped by another deal and presumably more money.”

Team Dynamics have stated that they are looking to expand to a third car and Shedden could be the driver for it.

“I am not restricting my options to just the Team Dynamics car. I have a good relationship with all the guys there and I am disappointed.

“I am not saying I wouldn’t drive a Dynamics car but I have to consider all options. I have to look after myself."

Great job from Gio who only did one flying lap and missed almost all of second practice after crashing with Jelley. O'Neill might get that top six finish.

He didnt crash with Jelley, Jelley crashed into him. Anyway that is awesome, im just worried that Matt Neal and Jason Plato wont make it to the first chicane for race 1 tomorrow, i cant see Matt giving up the place to Jason.

This is very true.

He's trying too hard at the moment. He got pole at the finale last year and that kept him his job.... Problem is as well the BMW is very hard to drive 'touring car' stylee, bumping and boring is difficult in a RWD.

enjoyed yesterdays races. when vauxhall withdraw i think we're still up for some great racing with thomo now inthe field - what great racing from him in his return. committed aggressive controlled driving! loved it!

A little bit processional the racing yesterday, but lovely skill from Thommo as he passed Collard, I thought there was no way he would save it!

Excellent efficient performane from Gio in race one, great patient opportunistic drive from Turko in race two and a brilliant restart from Jackson in race three.

Felt so sorry for O'Neill. Punted out unluckily in race two and a puncture in race three :(.

And Matt Neal must have though he was on for a whole heap of points over Gio in race three till he got mugged from 4th down to 7th as he got boxed in behind Thommo's slow Honda in the complex.

just watching it on tv for the first time and Jelleys move on Jordan was never gonna work, not the work of a good driver, he should stick to single seaters and give that RAC seat to someone more deserving.
