I downloaded the patch yesterday and then went for a spin in the V-WTCC - presto, the Honda was in. When I logged on to another server, the Honda was not available! I asked the admin (cause I know him) and he said it had been upgraded. So, could the Honda be available only in the V-WTCC?

@offering the chance: I think it's a very good idea, if anyone is willing to put in the extra time and effort, fair enough. If I missed it, why bother? I've signed up with the car I like and done some testraces, so I wouldn't switch anyway.

P.S. managed to be last in V-WTCC standing with my "let's see if the system works" lap yesterday

We know people has a busy life with work and all
but this was a one time opportunity
maybe, just maybe if Simbin released it sooner, then we could have seen other results (hell.....if Simbin released it today, it was no way going to be implemented in the league)
but we still have to remember (like you point out: people have a busy life) that Yves is not available 24/7.
Remember that he did extended the deadline for those who missed it..so with that is already a great thing he did for most skinners

I just tested the RD FD Series server and it allowed me to choose the Honda 07, so it should work for other servers.

Sorry that i have to step in here again, but you seem to forget that we offer a chance (indeed a one time opportunity) for those who would like to do a last minute change. Instead of NOT allowing the car at all and rule out a brandnew great car we discussed it internally to do allow it.

It is useless to start a discussion wether we should extend the skinning period or not because we stated it clearly that we don't.

@Eckhart: i saw your time on the leaderboard and you are a true blue flagger (bravo)
@Eckhart2: everybody that has their server upgraded are allowed to choose the Honda (but they must mark it in the dedicated server menu to allow people to choose it)

but you forget the fact you didnt gave us the opportunitie..... as i see this post today i didnt get the chance to skin test etc.

in normal wtcc there is not a chance they add a new car just because its cool to have a new car in it the other drivers would complain just as we (i) do now. all im trying to say is that your NOT giving ppl a fair chance.....

lets say ther honda would be faster (like i said i ddint have the time to test it so i dont know) can you think of the consiquences for the other drivers that didnt have the time to take even a look at it (as for me i dont even know how it looks LOL) ((but ill check now as i dont have time to testit )) all the fun would be out

what is the problem to let the skins go untill the next race, skins wouldnt be a problem in the quali server it only the time and your name.... then it would be no problem for me cause i would be able to test somethings.

If you can bend the rules to let a new car in you can also bend the rules for skinning

Geez guys, lets be honest and think with our brains instead of overreacting.
Nobody has any inside info on whether the Honda 07 is faster or slower than the 06 Honda. So any decision to change cars would be a gamble for those making that decision. Do you really expect that it will be faster though?

So, assuming that there is no advantage in the Honda (more likely the opposite), would you really be prepared to make the change now. I suspect all the serious contenders will not think about it, since they have done all of their preparations already. The people likely to select the Honda will be those who just like the car or were comfy with the 06 Honda.

Realistically, I can't see anything unfair here.

Wow, I can see now some of the headaches you guys deal with. There is a game patch that comes out just before pre-qually and adds a new car. You guys decide to allow the car but due to the time restrictions that have already been set, there is a very limited amount of time for people to prep the new cars if they want them. This means that most people won't have time. But really, why would you want to change cars at the last minute anyhow? Hasn't all the preparation been with one of the cars that was already available? Quit crying foul. If you get the new car in, great! If you don't, it shouldn't be a big deal since you already had another car picked out anyhow.

Get over it.

There is one option though to drive the car. Resign from your team and join the RD Single Drivers team with the Honda skin Ramon will provide. That is the only option at this point.

We wont allow the late skinning because Yves is already doing overtime a lot on bad created skins/errors for weeks now. He is the one that makes this all possible so we can leave that to his master hands and we can focus on other things that need to be taken care off.

From this place i want to give a big hand to Yves for all his work the last months. RD would'nt be the same without you mate.

One more question, i enterd in GPCOS in the rd singledriver skin but i hadent have the choice to choose car, maybe i shoudent have that choise but best to ask becouse i really want to drive that Honda I havent tested it more then like 10 laps at Valencia but there it was fast enough for me, and the noise.....mmmmmm

I feel your pain, I get your point and agree with you. I would join you in your fight to make the point but it looks as if the "powers that be" have already decided and aren't going to change their minds.
