The Porsche you ended up with needs a certain driving-style as well. It's quite sideways. The M1 is probably the easier car to drive :)

We certainly can try. Both rF2 days have their own niche. The Historic guys with one-make racing (most of the time) and a couple of shorter races, while the Fridays rarely have one-make racing and 50min races. I know quite few from the Thursdays don't enjoy multi-class either.

It's not an easy balance, and even harder for rF2 Fridays now that AMS2 also have Friday-racing with much of the same style cars. The best thing would be to get enough content out there from RD to showcase the rF2 club and hopefully get even more new people in. rF2 have gained some hundred players over the last couple of months, so it should be possible to get some in, hopefully without losing anyone :)

You gave me the first scare of the race when you got going again and passed me for position. That was the first in-race situation where a C1 car came up on my BMW. Wowzers.


On a sidenote, I know that the ODS-gang are not going to convert any more cars to rF2, so what we have now, is what we get. Which is really fine. As more choices would probably be even harder to manage, but this is the original list of cars+liveries. The number ahead is "category", but makes no sense - I won't go through it and remove those though. But as we can see, there is a lot of different cars that hasn't been converted. Like e.g Cougar-C01, Dome RC82, Ford C100, Sauber SHS C6, URD C81 and so on. I'm quite sure that we don't have half the car models in rF2(!).

I did fulfill one of my big simracing-dreams in December when we did the 100 meilen von Nürnberg with these cars. My other simracing-dream will probably never be realized, because it would be too much work. But have a World Sportscar Championship inspired, proper championship with livestreaming, commentating, 2 drivers per car etc.
Oh well, it's good to have dreams :)

Everyone teams up with someone else in the race. First Stint, one is in Proto category, one is in GT category. At the mid-race pitstop, drivers swap cars and continue onwards.

That should be done on a... Sunday then I think due to the length of the race. Have to find a Sunday that timing doesn't crash with F1 or my work. I've looked at it, and from April to Mid-November I, currently have at least 32/33 days with a football-match/concert/other show. While that doesn't sound too much, depending on the size of the event it takes from 2-8 days to prepare for it. And Pre-April I have to interview and hire... 80-100 people as well.

I'll find a day though, special events are often quite fun :)

Not actually possible without having 2 separate events.
Which is a different thing I want to find a solution for as well. In that World Sportscar Championship with these cars-dream I have, one of the races will be the 100 meilen von Nürnberg, but run as it was back then, 2 separate events (race 1 for driver 1, race 2 for driver 2) and results combined.

Oh well. Dreams and all that :)

Maybe it could be the last race of the year before Christmas?
That should give us plenty of time to practice :cool:

My tintop was waaay faster in the straights than some race cars, it was a joke racing one for laps with both having so different speeds in different parts of the track.
 
That Alba C2 was a great race car, pity its driver was such a bonehead who can't calculate fuel use or do maths good.
