The title promised by Assetto Corsa modding group turned game developer REG Simulations has entered early access on Steam.

Argentinian studio REG Simulations have been promising over the past year a sim racing title featuring content pertaining to their home country's racing scene, such as Turismo Carretera and TC2000. Along with that, many tracks within the Latin American country including Autódromo de Rosario, Autódromo Roberto José Mouras circuit and Autódromo San Nicolás are part of PISTA Motorsport.

After spending considerable time in closed beta, sim racers now can get it in Early Access on Steam right now for €14.79. Here is what you can expect with your copy of PISTA Motorsport in its early access form.

It's always hard to judge based on pictures and videos alone, so i ask those who have already played it -
Are some kind of AI opponents already available?
And does the game actually look similar to rF1 or AMS1 in terms of graphics quality? Or is that misleading because I haven't played the titles mentioned in a while?

I think I'll consider getting it at some point, but I don't see anything that encourages me to do so yet.
But for the future I would like to just because of the lesser-known content.

No AI at this stage, although they are promising races and championships so I'm guessing its in development. Right now you can only do test days and time trials with online leaderboards. I hope they have decent AI because I've watched those C3 races before and they are insane racing, and I think these cars would be very close.

Graphics are I would say a bit better than rF1 / AMS1, but they could still be improved in terms of textures etc. The tracks do look a bit bland but when you watch videos of their racing, the tracks are a bit bland to look at. Rio Hondo looks and feels right compared to any other game I've played. But there are some rough patches to the graphics.

Its a nice touch that the onboard cameras all shake like in real life.

Rain graphics are good, but yeah in terms of graphics it could do with a bump up, but not sure what the cost would be in FPS.

Well I have a GTX 1660ti and it runs smooth as silk on mine with all graphics on high.
Primarily AMD user here, my secondary, lower-end old RX 580 is doing just fine - and regarding nVidia I've just rolled out PISTA from my laptop GTX 1650Ti Mobile (CPU: Ryzen 5 4600H) in OpenXR VR in my Quest 2 and even that is doable (ended up my first VR test should be via my IdeaPad Gaming 3 laptop, hah!).

So even though the actual start-up and surfing around the menus is HEAVY, performance once you are down in the seat and driving out of the pit is nothing to complain about here.

I'm always interested in new sims so I grabbed it. It's definitely rough for sure, but it's got decent bones to work from. The driving and FFB are surprisingly decent. Considering it's a small team and all, I think it's pretty neat. I hope to see it improve.

To be honest, the fact that only South American content is initially announced is too expensive for me as someone who likes international content. What does it look like with VR? As we all know, steam-vr is a drama...

What game engine is it? Still getting AC vibes from it. Considering much of this content is available in AC its a tough sell but i'll get it for 15 quid and give it an hour, worst case refund.

They use Unity HDRP, which is pretty much a first for sim racing as far as I'm aware. RaceLeague uses it, too, but that should be about it.

I am interested in this and i'll tell you why. My most played is AC and its just so big, so messy in the complexities of CSP's etc and a myriad of settings and things breaking each update etc.
I mod do its full of mods some finished some half finished, just so many cars and tracks even after a purge.... Is a big bloated mass of stuff which most of the time I'm just testing my mods or fiddling around with stuff or playing with filters etc....

I will get this game because of it lack of content and bare bones, maybe i'll find one of the cars and enjoy it and spend time driving it, no worry about different CSP's or modding or trying the latest filter or whatever.....
That is why i will get it to at least try....
Weird that because so many sims try to be everything to everyone, i'm quite looking forward to having less and no GT3 cars....

That´s why i installed my CSP and Pure manually without CM. I have a perfect running and tweaked CSP 179p5 + pure0.180 and can do without newest crazy funktions which crash another funktions all the time ;)
And i will stay there till i quit playing AC sometime..

SORRY OFFTOPIC

Btw. That doesn't stop me from driving all the other sims too :) *Time is only the limit*

ofc graphics are not a top priority for the devs.
are they using rfactor 1 engine?

After having analised many videos of pista motorsports i conclude that with your microwave u could run this jewel at full ultra grafics.

And you still could keep your torrent program on while you play it!
i have 1050 gpu but i m not sure if will run at least low end graphic like ams2 and acc

Watching the videos I'm really liking the engine sounds, is it just me finding it better than most other sims?

Hi.

Somehow on my wide 27 monitor I get picture like you can see down there, so I can not reach settings to change resolution, which is, I guess set somewhere around 3840 x 2160, which my monitor can not show. I installed game also to my laptop where everything is as it should be with 1920 x 1080 resolution.
I Have not tried with VR yet.

I reinstalled the game and verified integrity of game files - the same
I transfer laptop Pista files to PC - the same.
I set game to windowed mode - the same, still I can not reach settings
I checked all game files trying to find resolution line somewhere - nothing
I checked web to find where can I find resolution file - nothing

Any suggestions?
Thanks :)
