The first Le Mans Ultimate DLC pack has been announced, including two new Hypercars. Here is everything you need to know about the 'Tifosi Italia' DLC pack.

The first DLC pack has been anticipated for Le Mans Ultimate for months now. Just after the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo, the announcement is finally here and a wealth of content is coming to the official game of the World Endurance Championship. The Tifosi Italia DLC pack will form one-quarter of the 2024 DLC Season Pass.

New Hypercars

The Lamborghini SC63 and the modified and improved 2024 Peugeot 9X8 are making their virtual debuts in Le Mans Ultimate after more or less successful starts to both campaigns for their respective teams. While the Lamborghini made its debut at the Qatar season opener, the 2024 9X8 fittingly raced first at Imola this season.

The new 9X8 will have the new rear wing that the squad debuted on their cars at round two in Imola, as well as the updated liveries to match it. The French outfit's vehicle will be offered alongside the wingless 2023 variant.

Lamborgihini's Hypercar, the SC63, will feature alongside its French counterpart with its ear-splittingly loud 3.8-litre turbo V8 engine to match. This raging bull will likely charge into Le Mans Ultimate to a warm reception with the Lamborghini being such a crowd favourite at all of the events so far in 2024.

Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari (Imola)

The inclusion we all knew was coming, but still a much-welcomed addition to the ranks of Le Mans Ultimate. Imola provided some of the best racing we have seen this year in the WEC, and it is also a familiar circuit to a lot of sim racers new and old.

Over 70,000 endurance racing fans flocked to the Italian venue in 2024 over the three days when WEC visited in April. The iconic and history-soaked Italian motor racing venue n northern Italy will
become a permanent feature on the WEC calendar for the next four years.

The Italian-inspired pack will be available to purchase via Steam for £9.99 / €11.99 / $12.99 on the 23rd of July. This will also be available with the 2024 Season Pass for Le Mans Ultimate, granting players access to this DLC and more in the future.

2024 Season Pass

The 2024 DLC Season Pass is the ticket to all of the current season's content and will enable players to download the latest cars and tracks the minute they are ready to be bought. It is priced at £39.99 / €46.99 / $49.99.

The 2024 Season Pass will combine all the packs together, which will include four new Hypercars, four iconic circuits and seven brand-new LMGT3 cars. All players will be able to wishlist the 2024 Season Pass and first DLC pack on Steam ahead of it going on sale later this month, July 23rd.

Meanwhile, more free content (like the BMW M Hybrid V8 ahead of Le Mans) is on its way as well. “Development is well underway on the rest of the 2024 Season Pass Content as well as new gameplay features and quality of life updates which we hope to bring to the market in late September – just as the 2024 FIA WEC season reaches its exciting crescendo", stated Motorsport Games CEO Stephen Hood.

Awesome, cant wait for Imola!

What other WEC-tracks will come, what do you think?

Given they have the ACO license I expect we'll see anything that WEC goes to in 25 and 26...

Then there's the historic content to think about... Targa Florio would be great to race with some 60s machines...

Oh wait, I know it is, one of my favourite events from 2024 was Targa in 1964 machines...

Qatar?

I look forward to Interlagos, WEC race past weekend was quite fun there. COTA lot of annoying corners. Losail i dont know is also fairly new to Simracing I think?

Imola, meh.
Yes, Qatar (Losail). It's new to sim racing but it is included in the EA F1 games.

LMU is the official WEC sim, so Studio 397 doesn't choose the tracks, it has to include the ones that are part of the calendar.

Personally, I really like COTA, it's a fairly challenging track with some interesting features. Imola and Interlagos are classics (I prefer Interlagos).

Exactly the reason i wont support early access or beta, much prefer to wait for a 1.0 release and pay more for a more polished sim/game. But from the comments i see on here we are out numbered 100/1, they are happy to buy a 1/2 baked sim/ game and keep giving money.
You should see the reddit were not alone trust me. I'm glad others can easily throw away money on a half done sim and are willing to continuously. Those are the marks they love. At the point everything they're done is another step closer off the ledge. If this game is already struggling this badly what makes us think it'll ever even be finished? Hopes and dreams?

This one is perfect

"MSG is so transparent. Got to show some profits before the quarterly report is expected on August 19th. The exact same way they released LMU a month before the annual report was due. I'll get down voted for this but it's sad/funny how many people are falling for their scheme."

This sounds a bit like the people who are enjoying the sim and are willing to pay for new content (despite open topics) are fools...

DLC? So its out of early access already...? :O_o:
Assuming the following :
  • Lack of interaction from any official moderator since early June (not counting short answer on threads asking for account name changes...).
  • 58 pages composed of over 1200 threads of bug reports, mostly left unanswered by mods (other than community identified mods, who are not part of the studio at all).
  • Known issues list left unattended since early March (which does not contain any of my countless bug reports, not a single one including, said issues that obviously launched as well for the BMW, expect paid DLC to be a mess), where nothing was ever actually touched or talked about since then.
  • Not a single meaningful patch since 11th of June (I am not going to count obscure one-liner hotfixes to address "server communication stability" or "replay stability"...).
Yes, it is fair to assume that early access has finished at the very latest on 4th of June when they announced the paid DLC coming up.

Edit: by the way I asked over a week ago directly the dev team about the veracity of the known issue list on their forum (and also via private messages), so that testers who paid for the game can actually do their job during the early access and not just "play" the game like way too many (I mean if we can consider too many the monthly average of 250 users reported by SteamDB). Still waiting for the answer from any member of the dev team. I guess they do not want any feedback during their so called early access anyway. I was one of the very enthousiast people for this game and went in to really help them, providing data and testing things, not just complaining about ranking system or if assists are fair enough in an online game. They lost me by end of March though being so unresponsive, clearly not understanding how to engage with the community in an early access phase. Regardless when you have over 58 pages of bug reports, it is too late, you'll never get through that. Since then I asked for the deletion of my account and all my related data twice already, following their official process, also left to rot so far, this might result in some legal actions at some point.

Tbh, I don't get this mindset. I don't call users of other platforms idiots or fools - don't think that was your intention but his - just because they enjoy them despite the shortcommings and issues that we have in all the different titles. It all comes down to how you use the products and for what kind of experience you are looking for. If you are looking for an offline season mode or a great VR experience LMU is propably not at the top of your list right now. Most of the other stuff like quick SP races or the pickup MP racing work really well. Some people think that just because they read stuff on redit wich also reflects their view makes their POV the ultimate truth and that they have to drill it into our brains for what ever reason. I mean, some of the comments here read as if LMU is a constant unusable mess while I see quite a lot of people having no issues to use it on a daily basis as any other platform out there. You gotta let go at one point ... and just because some arm chair programmers think that hotfixes are meaningless one-liners, doesn't make it true either. Fixing server stability issues is pretty important if your online system relies on it and alot more than some other developers have done for their MP system in the last twelfe month.

It's just a tribal reaction from most of them with that mindset...

They see their tribe saying whatever on reddit or in other closed circles like discord and it builds their perspective of the situation...

So many of these same posters are happy to support other devs when they release DLC to help fund development... But because it's not their tribe's developer they'll find any small reason to pick on a title as a huge one worth wasting their time over...

The 2025 calendar is already out and it is similar to this year's, so no new tracks after the 2024 DLCs are released, unless the studio decides to include historic content.

There could always be a replacement like we've seen in MotoGP often over the last few years...

But I fully expect early 2025 to be all about their subscription for the online career mode and historic content... Because 2 new cars (which is I think all we're getting in 25) is not going to be much DLC for an entire year...

And I'd hate it if they started asking for money for liveries... Just give us the rF2 livery swap system and private servers and this thing will take off...

Still the best developer based hypercars by miles...

Sales must have crawled to a halt after the initial surge, given the lack of development and negative reviews it's been getting as of late, lowering the overall score of the game. After all, the very low numbers in players for every month aside for June (Le Mans) seem to confirm it. RFactor 2 is doing better in this regard.

Having to give good news to investors and justify them pumping more money into their funds, they have probably resorted to the most blunt strategy: re-releasing the game, through a 2024 DLC costing more than the actual game (which shows the most likely desperate state of their finances), hoping in another good number of sales from enthusiastic users. Despite the few here and there supporting this politic of theirs, the majority of users have grown disillusioned with LMU though, as can be seen on Discord, Reddit and Steam, which means it'll most likely won't work this time around.

I mean we get four new FIA grade A tracks that are propably a bit more expensive to lisence than Zandvoort, five new Hypercars and 9 new GT3 cars.
I'd expect the track and car licenses to be included in the WEC license...

I have no tribe. I've been bashing this game since they first announced this EA paid DLC stuff. Before that I was on board and bought the game day 1 and had it wish listed since I could. I was extremely excited for this sim honestly. But once I saw what they were doing after I bought the game i soured and quickly. Maybe I missed some key information before I purchased it? Maybe that information wasn't even there. Honestly don't know. I was on the forums in the early months saying all of this as well. (Look and you'll find me on there) as for Reddit, I don't even have an actual account, I just lurk. But it is nice to see others besides myself feeling the same way. As for developers, I honestly could care less as long as the game is good, I couldn't even tell you who develops most of the games I even play. I didn't even know the developers name until about a month ago and then it was only because everyone kept saying "EA" and i didn't think EA made this game, only learned that EA meant "early access". Honestly when i saw the EA stuff i was like No way.. no wonder this is happening. My biggest issue is I wasted 40 dollars on this and now they want more from me while the game is unfinished.

No.

THERE ISN'T EVEN DAMAGE MODELS.. Seriously. Drive into a wall at 150mph and come back and tell me what happens. "Oh you had been able to drive back to the pits afterwards, funny"

REPLAY just came in June.. Seriously.. How is replay just now added? That's crazy.

But hey we're struggling to keep the lights on."gIvEs uS tHe MoNiEs PlEaSe"

In April and May it was the least played Racing sim game on steam according to the Steamcharts. They even made a post about it on this site. LITERALLY THE VERY BOTTOM. And by a lot..

It only peaked in June because of the update. Just like it'll peak again.

If they are hurting for capital, it seems weird they didn't have even a slight sale of rF2 stuff during the Steam summer sale.

I was all ready to buy a particular track if it was on sale, and had even convinced myself that I'd probably get it even if it wasn't part of the sale. When I saw nothing was on sale ... kinda turned me off, bought nothing and am holding off for now.

So all your frustrations are based on the fact that you didn't know that "Early Access" meant "work in progress"...

Do you need the term "Live service title" explained as well...?

The days of games being released in a perfect state are long gone... Adjust your expectations or continue to blow hot air and waste your time with these long posts...

You're far too late to stop how an entire industry goes about business...

No you miss understood my EA. I thought the developer was EA because everyone kept saying EA, I didn't know EA meant Early Access when everyone kept saying "EA blah blah blah" I knew the game was Early Access when I bought it, I just always wrote it out instead of just writing the aberration "EA". Because EA until last month meant EA games to me.

I don't mind supporting EA (early access) games but I expect lead way. Charging 40 in Feb, than another 50 in July (More than the base game itself) when nothing works is insane business practices. Seriously.. No damage model but give us more money. Replay just came in June, give us more money. Doing what they are doing and the plans they have announced is an insane business practice. They are planning a subscription service eventually. The game isn't even fully out...

I know today is different than 20 years ago. I know that, but that doesn't change the fact they have bad business practices already out of the gate. They are already planning this and that and literally the game is what? 40% done? Maybe? Insane amount of issues and bugs, but nah we need that money first. I'm glad others are continually falling for the grift and scheme. I'm not. I already did. I'm just trying to persuade others from making the same mistake. Funny thing, I looked and my steam review for the game has the "most people found this review helpful" likes than any positive buy this game reviews. I found that quite funny personally.

Yikes, I feel bad about my flippant comment now. I'm sure its not the coders fault either, they probably get zero funding and support from the business side. I wouldn't be surprised if the staff is 2 guys and the DLC is farmed out.

The days of games being released in a perfect state are long gone...
That's why we have terminology like "release", "1.0", "early access", "open beta", "alpha test",... They hold a meaning to which we may or not keep the studio accountable for or not. Early Access means paid testers, which entails deep communication and regular patches. We get none of that here and end up with paid DLC.

Also there is a big stretch between "perfect state" and what LMU is in, yeah some may have too high expectations, but at some point you have to have a reality check.
