Hi there!

Is it possible for you to create a "Trail Braking Trainer" overlay? This would be super useful for people who want to be more precise with their trail braking. So essentially you just need a couple of telemetry, the steering angle and the braking input.

The way I envision it to work is, when you release the steering too much (faster than releasing the brakes), the overlay will alert you with colors (red) and maybe even an audible sound. Same if you release the steering wheel too little. Since we know that the steering wheel should be released (return to 0 degree) coinciding with the release of the brakes, we should be able to track this.

Is this possible?

I think it was my first overlay. I built brake jauge that changes color when the addition of brake + steer is too high. But it was too arbitrary. I replaced it by the tyres overlay, because in the end, what really matters in trail brake is the slip of the tyres. It's much more relevant and connected to real behavior rather than an arbitrary threshold that can be wrong.

Btw, you can search that old overlay in my old versions. I think there are two : a brake jauge with brake+steer angle and arbitrary threshold based on my observations, and another with brake jauge changing colors based on the front wheel slip. The jauge is blue with a white dot for electronics.

Yes I think you're right! I did not try the tyre overlay yet, is it possible to have a sound when it passes a threshold of slipping? So we can hear and not have to take our eyes off?

The game says it more than enough and way better than what I could do. Just lower the engine sound (like every alien) and listen to the wheels ingame :) glhf !

Does the "XIV - Tyres pad wear" work in the latest version of ACC? In the overlay inside the wheels, I never seem to get average pressure and in the orange box that represents pressure loss when driving over kerbs, it doesn't reset when I start a new race stint.

I places the javaextensions in the correct folder (My Simhub application is installed in the D: drive ... therefore the javaextensions folder is "D:\Program Files (x86)\SimHub\JavascriptExtensions" on my PC)
