What are you listening to?

I had never heard of this group til picking up a copy of their eponymous first album in a cutout bin in '72 (the only one released in the US I believe); it became the most borrowed album in my collection back then.

- 2002 - honored with the ASCAP Lifetime Achievement Award in Folk Music; three Wammies (Washington, DC, Area Music Awards)for Best Male Vocalist in the "traditional folk" and "children's music" categories, and for Best Traditional Folk Recording of the Year
- nominated four times for Grammy Awards
- 2004 - Martin Guitar Company introduced the Tom Paxton Signature Edition acoustic guitar
- 2005 - Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting at BBC Radio 2's Folk Awards
- 2006 - Lifetime Achievement Award from the North American Folk Music and Dance Alliance
- 2007 - honored with an official Parliamentary tribute at the House of Commons of the United Kingdom
- 2008 - special lifetime tribute from the World Folk Music Association
- 2009 - Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy

Still going strong at 85.
