Not now but earlier today i'm sitting at my coffee hangout with a few of my friends and another person i had become friends with as well shows up with his six year old boy. They both whip out their I Pads and start going at it and i'm watching the boy and thinking to myself "i can't believe how well the boy is navigating through his I Pad" So i started to chat away with the boy and i ask him what he wants to do for work in the future? "I want to be a video game designer" he says. Wow good for you. You'll go a long way with that i tell him and his dad jumps in and says " he already knows how to create 2D models with our computers at home" . I respond "what, really" and dad tells me "yeh, he knows how to open and start programs without my help and i even don't know how to do some of the things my son can do!" After hearing this i put my tail between my legs and went back to our table. I'm impressed!. Jeez here i'm thinking i'm doing pretty good that i learned how to install games, unzip files and insert them into proper folders then i see and hear what this little boy can do. "Amazing"

The important thing for him, is to stick with that idea and practice programming like hell! I was a bit more than him when I said similar things, but I went into playing games instead programming anything Well, I had a few tries, when I was 10 I was programming some scripts in Logo, I was about 14 when I did a calculator for Heroes of Might & Magic 3 in Basic, where you put in the type of monster you have vs. the type of monster you face (f.e. gold dragon vs. black dragon), and it came out with the results, based on the statistics and how the game calculates damage etc. Later I did some calculators in Pascal and C, but nothing more really. Found out that programming becomes way harder when you pass those things.

BTW I'm going to learn some technical drawing in a few minutes

Just enjoying some quiet time at home, surfing RD. We babysit for a friend on Sat/Sun but my gf and our roomie took little Emma to the Santa Claus Parade and then to the Christmas Market where there is a little fair ground with rides for the kids. I have a twisted right foot so i stayed home.
