Cars VRC Formula NA 2012 and 2018

Those are some lovely sounds, great job!
But I feel like the pitch of the sounds at high RPMs is too high.

I've watched tons of onboard footage from recent years until now and I've never heard a real engine with a pitch that high when reving close to RPM max.

Here are some reference videos from different years, 2015, 2016 and 2018 (it's fine since the engine didn't change the past 6 years).

Switching back and forth between your clip and the real videos quickly shows the pitch difference at high RPMs.

Apart from the high pitch those sounds are perfect, can't wait to drive that new IndyCar!

For the 2012 version, yeah definitely pitched too high. My thoughts however were, judging by the testing videos of the 2018 car, that it was higher than the previous one. I´ll definitely double check it though, thanks!

Since they didn't change/modify the engine for this year's car it should be the same actually,
RPM max. is still 12000. I think they did change the exhaust layout a bit so this might be the reason for the small differences in sound? Just a thought though...
But the season is starting this weekend so you'll get a lot more onboard footage for reference! ;)

Here's a fresh Visor cam onboard from St. Pete, I think now we've got confirmation that the sounds are definitely pitched too high, for both the 2012 and especially the 2018 car.
I really think there shouldn't be any pitch differences between the 2012 and 2018 sounds, mainly because they didn't change the engine the past 6 years.

Fixed :)
Just a shame most of these visor cams dont pick up the raw sound these engine actually produce, sounds pretty cool nevertheless.

You mean Sennas pics above?
That's not an oval car.
That's the road version.
You dont seem to have a clue, mate ";)"
I think I can't leave it that way... :p
I don't know if you have noticed. But Sennas pics above is the Dallara DW12 (2012) car... he said the 2018 car pics will be shown soon.
It is in fact an oval car... to be precise its the Short-Oval and Road configuration, mate. ;)

I follow Cart/Indycar since '91. So go figure... :p

Was fun making skins for a series I never really watched, hope you all enjoy the rest of the liveries ;)
