This mod has now been released. All the changes are listed in the above link. If a Forum Admin is reading this, if you could remove the "Testers Wanted" and change it to "Development Discussion" thread, it would be appreciated.

UPDATED TO WORK WITH 1.3

Note: In attempts to fix the interviews and dilemmas, I have temporarily removed all non English languages from those two files. I hope to reinsert them into a later version (but when I do, they'll still be the vanilla text as I am unable to translate in any other language).

I've just released an additional Experimental Assembly.dll in Part 3. (the previous difficulty level's are unchanged).

It has 5 changes to the rest of the assembly.
  1. Instead of having the AI Tech Boost to be +50... it is now +25, but the Player Tech Decay (which is at -7.5% in this version) now has an additional -25 (keeping the difference between AI and Player still +50). This is so that in Season 1, when you have the AI Tech Boost Too, it's not TOO overpowered as you only have +25 instead of +50
  2. Hudson made a fix for the AI able to continue after retiring. I have implemented that fix in this version. Thanks Hudson Hopefully that's now fixed.
  3. I believe I have fixed the FanBase always decreasing. I believe the devs simply set it that you LOSE fanbase whenever your car exceeds race expectations, instead of GAIN it. Hopefully that's now fixed.
  4. I have decreased the maximum moral boost from a race the driver get, from a max total of 20% to 5%. Driver morale was simply too easy to raise / sustain.
  5. I have doubled (maybe accidentally quadrupled depending on how the stat is used) the growth in stats of a reserve driver. This should make it more incentive to get one with good potential and help him develop. The reserve driver slot should now play a bit more like a 'young driver development' center. It seems they now gain Half A Star Per Season in reserve - other perimeters permitting (i.e., not too old, not at their limit etc).
These are not mainstream changes, but as I play the game properly over the next few weeks, I may release more experimental version of the dll, as I tweak my experience.

Feel free to use it. Feel free to test it. Feel free to ignore it.

Hi TheFlamingRed. The game runs really good. There are a few things.

1- After I had build the Scouting Facility Center some scouting reports came unscouted. The Scout send her email and when I click on the driver everything looks like and unscouted driver and the same drivers report come a few times again. Had to stop scouting for a few weeks (Sorry, I forgot to take a screenshoot, If you want can take one the next time appears).

2- Again after building Scouting Facility. Somtimes I got 2 email reports for the same driver at the same time.

3- No bug just a question about the text files in the Modded Texts folder in the Asset File. Would it work if I changed the files in Notepad and then imported them in resources.assets file. Or do I need another program.

1/2 - Not seen this before, Maybe a problem with the fact there was only one slot? So (a) is this breaking the game in any way. (b) is it now happening reliably or is the problem intermittent? (c) yes, take a screenshot next time you see it and (d) backup your save (the one just before the screenshot). I may ask you to send it to me so I can have a closer look.

3 - Notepad++ is normally a better option then notepad, but yes. All the files in that text folder is what they are within the mod, so feel free to tweak.
 
a- Just have to empty scouting list and stop scouting for a few weeks. So not in a big way. Just have to pick the unscouted drivers all over again.
b- If I don't empty the scouting list and stop scouting its happening reliably. Otherwise happened so far 2 times during the season.
c- Screenshot of Scouting Report Email and Scouted Driver Page, Okey.
d- Save game after getting bugged scouting report and sent it to you, Okey too.

3- Thanks for the Notepad++ tip.
 
I've just released a Second Experimental Version in Part 3 (1.2g). Much like the first, its purely optional and is just a snapshot of things to come. It as all the features of the previous Experimental Version but has 5 new bits and pieces.

This version will technically be known as the "Safety First" Version.

  1. // Yellow Flags have been set to last between 30s and 120s (from 10-20)
  2. // Virtual Safety now present for 45s - 120 (from 15-45s)
  3. // Safety Car now now last anywhere between 1-4 laps (up from 1 lap)
  4. // Changed it so Non-Aero Parts will result in a Retirement 90% of the time once their durability hits zero (up from 50%)
  5. // Changed the minimum amount the chairman will let you spend on a chassis, even if it puts you into the red (this is because of an change to Part Suppliers which is still being worked on).
 
Hi FlamingRed quick question. Started a new game an saw that my Assistant gave a report for upcoming race again. Before he would gave only report for the first race and never appear again. That's awesome. Did you change something. (Using your 1.2G w/ExperimentalOption by the way)

But his report is not quiet accurate. Because Vexala has the best Suspension.

You have weird things going on in your game. Has this started happening since you upgraded your scouting building? This might even be a vanilla option for it, as I've never built the building and have never seen race reports outside of season 1 (though I think I did get a report for each race). Is it because you're not scouting a Driver that you're getting a track report instead?

I'd like to say I did this, but I did not. In terms of scouting, all I have done Is change the 3 slots to 1. Nothing mire. And to do that, I changed one number from a 3 to a 1. It shouldn't be having a knock on effect.

As For Velexa vs Garuda Suspension. Those ranks in the table only change when you have parts attached onto your car. For example, if I have the best breaks (the top bar all filled) and I put it on a car, I'd be ranked 1. But if I took that brake off the car, and put in a different one, while the bar would still show I have the best brake, the chart would show me in rank 2/3

I assume that's what's happened there. It's a vanilla thing anyway.
 
No this is a new game. Didn't build scouting facility yet. From the beginning when I got this game (before mods) the Assistant gave only one upcoming race report (the first race - Black Sea). Now he gave twice (Black Sea-Munich). I don't think too that it has anything to do with the scouting facility. Just wanted to know if you or hudson did some changes.

But apparently it didn't last long. Didn't get race report for the third race (Milan). So back to normal again.
 
Hi FlamingRed. Here is the multiple scouting report bug for the same driver. The save file is 2-3 days before the scouting report came . As you can see in the pictures 5 entry in the Calender and 5 Email for the same driver.

If I come across the scout report that shows the driver as unscouted then will add it too.
 
That is so weird, I'll see if I can replicate the problem... at least it isn't game breaking, though the number of emails you're getting is increasing.

For now, roleplay that you're scout isn't very tech savvy, and is hitting the send email button over and over and over again.
 
Just downloaded your latest update and will be testing it in a bit. Thanks for fixing the "retired" drivers bug, at least I didn't have to wait for an official patch. I noticed a bug that the "Chaser" trait is activated when going 1st in a race instead of being 2nd, must be a mix up somewhere. Have you checked on this while making modifications? Thanks for your efforts.

I've had a report that this is a vanilla issue too, which makes sense as I really didn't think my mod would have that as a side effect (I am excepting a few side effects eventually, but that wasn't one of them).

Hopefully, it's fixed by the devs. Or we'll see what's going on and fix it ourselves.

Can't take any credit for the retirement fix, That was all Hudson.

I'll have a look at chaser. See what tags on it.

I knew that the Scout didn't like me. :cautious:

Maybe, I don't know. Never saw it myself or on any bug list on other Motorsport Manager sites.
 
Seen it reported a few times in the vanilla game, both on Reddit and the Steam discussions (which I read during that uneventful middle stint :p ). The multiple scouting messages have also been known to be precursors to a dead save game.
 
Thanks Brian. And what do you mean by "known to be precursors to a dead save game". Will I lose my savegame?

From what I remember, it's likely. Once it starts, it doesn't go away and steadily gets worse. I've seen one report of someone's save being dead after spamming 12-14 emails at them at once and stopping them from progressing the game, as it crashes when they try to progress to the next day.
 
Indeed. It's gets to be a lot of emails, though I don't know what brings it about to cause a crash.

This is happening all the time to me have like 50 mails of the same drivers over and over in like groups of 6 mostly every week. Lot of mail to click through all the time.

That above Is from steam. It looks like it's a problem introduced in the latest patch, probably only when. Starting a new game (hence why more popele don't notice it). It may also not trigger on every game too.

The devs should fix this if it's starting to break save games though, I'll look into it, but unless we can work out what the 'trigger' for it is, I doubt I'd notified any problems in the code.
 
Thanks people. I really appreciate your helps and tips. 2 new games and every time this bug. Will try my luck and continue my game. If it gets dead then I will try a new one. If that gets it too, need to stop playing until working patch.
