Hey, I was about to post or search for a thread about racer for mac, since the real mac version is still only 0.5.6 or something, but now i saw this
I'm using 0.7.1 right now with cider, but 0.8 didn't work with cider, at least not how I tried (I know not much about it)
Is there a way I or other mac users can use your 'wined' racer version too? I hope it will work though, since I only got a macbook pro Core Duo ATI X1600 128mb, OSX 10.6.3 which, unfortunately, doesn't seem very suitable for the new cg racer stuff...

Anyone willing to share how to play Racer in Ubuntu using Wine? I am completely new to Wine and gaming in Linux so please be patient when explaining things to me. Ive tried installing a few things myself (winetricks) etc. but seem to be getting nowhere so a short list of things I need to do to get started would be much appreciated. So far all I get when I start racer is a black screen.

What I have done so far is place all racer files in the Program Files location in the .wine/c_drive folder and then run racer.exe from terminal.
