AMS2 Truck Yeah! Montana @ LongBeach, Tuesday 16th August 2022

Automobilista 2 Racing Club event
Sorry, had to bow out. Just got new pedals and its not the track to be on trying to get used to them. Wasn't enjoying it so best to call it a day.

Next week's race is up in a practice server.

Thanks Scott.
I got a set of Thrustmaster T-LCM load cell pedals. First time using them apart from a quick test to check they worked. Need to get them setup properly and spend some time testing before I will get any benefit I think.

I really enjoyed this combo @Redvaliant! I'm normally not to fussed about street circuits, but long beach takes me back to the old indy games. That bloody boost button was a double edged sword though! :D

Thanks for the battle in R2 @max1966i - one of the most intense I have experienced for a while with those walls and struggling to spot braking points!

Am I correct in thinking you originally had the G29? Moving from rotary pots to a load cell is a huge change, but I found the G29 was even worse because of the damn rubber block as all it did was make the final part of the pedal super sensitive. Once you get used to it, you should find your consistency improves though.

Yes I was using G29 pedals although I had changed the spring which did improve them, but only slightly.
I have to say the Thrustmaster software is awful, it looks like someone knocked out some java script on Friday afternoon. Fanatec were a bit over my budget so these will have to do for now.

Yes thanks but will give it a try for 90 mins or so as a test . The PC is exclusively used for sim racing so doesn't have any data on it as such and no issues rebuilding
I'm assuming you had no issues? I didn't have a single stutter the entire race, which has been pretty much the norm for me the past month or so.

Great pace and consistency as usual! It was nice to have you back....

Thanks, no problems at all but as Daniel has switched off ranking from the server I need to try racing again without the DMZ setting as supposedly ranked servers are more liable to cause these issues.

Ah, I had forgot about that too.... Yeah, now you mention it, we had some issues when Guido started up the Thursday races with ranking enabled....

To be honest, if putting it in the DMZ solved the problem, then that indicates a problem with the router as the manipulation of the TCP/UDP packets (NAT) is the same if you do or don't, it's just that the ports are explicitly mapped in non-DMZ, so it would suggest the router has some issues with it's rule engine
