It’s tin-top time and the Top Cars from Daniel Jimenez on the Daytona Road course.

With qualifying and TWO races all completed in approximately 60 minutes all in, you still have time to have a race with like minded people and do other things with your day too! There will be an open practice server running the week leading up to the race day and 60 minutes official practice prior to qualifying.

Especially the new and inexperienced drivers are recommended to participate. There are a lot of learning opportunities amongst a friendly community, without the intensity and stress of longer races, plus the chance to get it right in race two!

The car download pack has a choice of six manufacturers, Chevrolet, Fiat, Ford, Mercedes, Mitsubishi and Toyota. But there is no need to test them all because they are all basically the same underneath, loosely based on the South American Stock Car series with the same V8 engines and chassis, just with different bodies and cosmetic differences.

See you on track!

No worries John, I haven't posted Monaco as yet, need to get Imola
Hi Paul, how come we can use Reboot for Monaco but we cant for Daytona?
have we really got to use that old track from 2017. I binned that one ages ago.
Just thought i would have my usual moan about ovetake RD weird rules on usage
but it does not help with the driver numbers probably

Hi Steve,

Reboot Monaco???? The one were are using on Thursday is by Rainmaker.

Morning Paul, my point was about the Daytona track to be used for the tin tops. Colin and Han have used the reboot track for Monaco and i wondered if we could use the reboot version for Daytona?

Hi Ernie

Use this link, it should take you to Tin Top Thursday.

Ignore all the Cupra cars you can see, just hit the register button on the right top, it will then take you to the Top car drop down list, select your Fiat and skin register it, and that should be it, any problems let me know.

A good entry list for tonight but there is still time to register.

Don't forget start time is earlier than normal and only 10 minutes qualification.

Apologies for leaving early chaps, hope it was fun and congrats to the podium drivers.

@Shed 17 Paul, sorry for the contact 1st lap, though I'd left room on the inside of the left kink for you - to complicate it, my ffb went as soon as the lights went out, took the 1st few corners to realise and I'm sure that contributed

On top of the ffb issue, I lost ptt and other wheel controls, just done a steam file check and 11 files were missing - no idea how that happened:confused: So I'm not sure if it's AC, my wheel or CM.

Blah, easy P2 and AC crashed on final lap....
I was behind you Kimi, you suddenly went left and then were spinning thorough the air like I was at Bathurst.
All your wheels came off!
The marshalls just stood there and watched! :roflmao:

Thanks everyone and well done Andre and Ernie. I think there might have been some bugs with the track looking at all the problems people were having, I will consign this version to the bin!

No worries John, I though it was me moving about that caused the contact. Hope you get it sorted.

@Shed 17 Paul, race 2, I think I just touched you a little on the rear inside, sorry for that, I turned my wheel very quickly to avoid that and then hit my pit-button. A shame actually, 'cause I still wasn't dead last after lap 1 T1, so that's progress

Anyway, nice car, nice track, butu hard to get it right. Car felt nice but couldn't get my braking under control so I waa all over the place. Good fun though! And while we were also in 'survival of the fittest' I ended up P4, hehe :roflmao:

Next time I'll enter with a little more practice.
