@James Skinner Is there a possibility the track limits at the last chicane can be fixed? It's possible to basically cut the entire left-hander completely, gaining more than 1s of laptime. The image below shows just how much can be cut.

Ditto on the track limits update/fix required for the final chicane please @James Skinner -

This is causing headaches for trying to steward in a league setting :)

Ideally the actual track limits are updated to match the AI splines outer boundaries as laid out in this screenshot:

Yep I'm aware of that issue - when I get some time I intend to put some tyre stacks there as they have IRL... (I imagine that will lead to a lot of premature race finishes!)

That could be a quick-fix / simple solution. Or perhaps bollards? Like seen in this IRL vid from 2014:

Whilst it might be 'cleaner' to have track limits in place, I'd be happy with a physical obstacle too, -- rather than have grumpy guys moaning about peeps 'cheating' during quali or race :) --- or burdening the stewards with reviews and penalties to dish!

Something I didn't mention was the fact that the cut still results in a valid laptime being set. Fixing that in my view would be the first prize.

I've done some further digging and looked into editing the track. While fixing the track limits would be ideal, I do see the green is part of the object. Splitting the two should aid in creating the separation needed to enable assigning different surface types to each component. I also noticed that in your "surfaces.ini" file you have a "CURB" surface defined, but it doesn't look like it is used anywhere on the track. See the surface definition below:

If it is unused, you could set the physics values to the same as the "KERB" surface that's been assigned, essentially allowing you to define 2 kerb types. One will serve the purpose of defining track limits, the other can define the purpose of kerbing that don't form part of the track limits (through the use of the "IS_VALID_TRACK" flag).

Aaah! Now I understand the reason for the forgiving track limits! If I can make a suggestion, I'd say rather make multiple layouts. One that foregoes the tyre stack in favour of strict track limits.

Some leagues don't use AC's track penalty system, so we don't have the risk of getting a DQ due to cutting. It does mean that for quali we don't need to actively monitor track limit abuse if there's more strict track limits. Leagues preferring to host servers with AC's penalty system can do so then :)
 
It's timely that this has come up as we're having a league race on this track on Sunday. We've run it before and had all manner of cheaters :roflmao: I know next to nothing about track modding but noticed in 3DSimEd that the middle bit of the chicane (that causes the problem) is called 1KERB_CLUB2 and it includes the big bit of tarmac that gives the advantage. As a quick and easy fix to invalidate cheaty laps, would just adding that to surfaces.ini and setting IS_VALID_TRACK to 0 mean people would have to completely avoid that kerb? Or are all the kerbs using the same KEY?

No issues before or currently on any other track

I run everything pretty much maxed. CSP 0.1.78 on an i9-11900k / 3080ti
No issues before or currently on any other track
Have tried unistall/reinstall of the track, CSP

Hoping someone has an idea for a fix ?

Hi, attached are two images, the screen shot is in game, but doesn't really show the grain, so attached one from my phone looking at the screen. (ignore the brightness)

I guess its a peculiarity to me only, but if you have any suggestions would be great.
