The "What Are You Working On?" Thread

Anyone got any idea with this SKINNED MESH ,
In 3DS Max ,
Its not my normal asking for info , But rather not waste another 3hrs trying to get it to load in the SDK in a wrong position lol

I have SKINNED my rear Spring using 2 dummy ,
It works totally fine , the animations are totally fine ,
But its loading the spring at 0,0,0

You could ask x4fab, from my experience he's pretty good at working with skinned meshes in Assetto Corsa.

i was so astonished by the cleverness of your gif that i didn't even see the question at first :X

The skinned object has to respect the pivot orientation and 0,0,0 position.
I do think you need to do it PRIOR to applying the skin.

IF you move it afterwards, it still works at the fbx export, but in your max file, your object will be flying 90° somewhere :p

I was thinking this lol ,
Maybe it should have been at 0 the axis before the skin ,
Made me wonder ,
I made a dummy and placed it at 0,0,0 and attached the spring to it , and that didnt work either ,
Ill try it again :)

Works perfect now thanks :)
Just need to set the weights again ,
Took a while before lol ,
I see some tools online showing a better way using DIR_
It auto sets weights from a script was gonna try this way today I found it last month ,
But seems a little strange , well the video does :D

Yeah thanks man ))
Anyways , I finished the front and rear , Its got full setup with dampers ,
Only thing I can not simulate is the FARB AND RARB ,
So had to split the mesh , Not something I wanted or was hoping to do with it ,
But with limited AC anims , best I think we can achieve at this point in time :)
