The International Manufacturers Championship '67

One subtlety I appreciate with higher Composure is, when passing an AI, the AI lose confidence for less time and, when they pass you, they gain confidence for less time.

So, in original GTR2, when you pass AI they tend to just fall off immensely and, if you are doing a sprint race, they don't really seem to ever come back. Likewise, when they pass you, they gain confidence for a long period of time and it's difficult to catch up to them.

This means Composure influences AI in a way that can look like rubber-banding.

Luckily I don't have any of that in my game. The rubber-banding I see comes from something else and is most likely hard-coded in the .exe.

If the Honda above was one of the smallest cars competing in the 1967 championship, the Howmet Sprint below was definitely the largest.

Some stuff has to be modified on the game car as the real Sebring one had a black bonnet, rear side windows replaced with aluminium sheets, and completely different looking arches for the rear wheels.

I know that this project isn´t finished, but is there any possibility of downloading the car liverys. I´m trying to recreate some of the 1967 races in AC and my biggest problem is liverys and having acces to some of yours would help a lot. Mvh E

Quote from the July 1967 issue of Motor Sport magazine:

"3 a.m. - Oh no! Yellow danger lights are flashing. Schlesser walks by explaining how there was nothing to do but to ram the bank with the Ford France Mk IIB. Seems Andretti [Ford Mk IV No. 3] had a brake lock on going into the Esses and crashed into the bank. McCluskey in Ford No. 5 tried to avoid him and crashed into the opposite bank. Schlesser avoided them both but crashed No. 6. Fords all over the place. Everyone else tip-toes through the wreckage. No one hurt."

Gurney in the No. 1 Ford Mk IV shouldn't have crashed though as he and Foyt won the real 1967 race. But it's a good thing that the game isn't exactly like the real happenings as it would get too predictable.
