this is what the car looked like today..exaust appears to be 2012spec....i thought EBD were banned for this year, but at the same time some F1sites are reporting it is on EBD ,so little confusing atm,but i think the pic definetely suggests it is the new exaust

Could this mean that Mercedes don't need to upgrade their car?
I guess everyone was running on heavier fuel tank. :)
These times don´t mean anything. Remember Schumacher last year? I think he was the fastest for like two times.

The goal in testing is not to get the "pole".

Most teams don´t even look at the time board. The goal is to work out setups, test new parts, check reliability etc.
and maybe, just maybe they let the driver out on half tank to do some quick runs.
But no team will empty the car and lay out the cards on the table.

Mercedes will be running the 2012 spec exhausts on their 2011 car in order to try and gain an understanding of its effect on the car; obviously they know the 2011 spec car inside out which will make it easier to learn. Also, they are trying the tactic of leaving the launch of their 2012 car as late as possible in order to spend as much time developing it in the windtunnel as they can.

love the raikkonen interview in finnish, good to see he is as tongue-tied in his native tongue as in english, guy is simply one who does not like to talk much and / or loud. fair enough.
I think it´s that but i also think he doesn´t give a damn about Media. Just like Häkkinen.
Hakkinen went another route and made it fun in a way but to each his own.

I think if you went out partying or spent a day with him then he would be like any other person.

wow my kness woudl be popping after beign in that position for a while.

btw I also like the INterviews with Kimi, in summarized this is it "Yeah nothing has changed in F1, I can still munch on noobs like Vettel"
