Technology Preview - Time Attack - Top 30 Leaderboard

So... to kill some time i decided to make a Top 30 board for all RD members.
To get your time official you need to make a post and post a screenshot/video of the time.

I'm still getting used to H-Pattern shifting with Heel&Toe.. Never really wanted to shift that way in a sim because sequential shifting makes me faster but with thiscar in this game H-shifting is a must so my first 30 laps or so ended with a 1:25.917.. In sequential mode I'm about 2 sec's faster.. AsI said, I'm still getting used to the new technique :D
BTW: Dont wonder why the screenshot looks weird.. It's the bezel compensation of the in-game triple screen software which causes those screens...

I don't understand how can you guys be so quick. Are you using aids? I have everything off and it is impossible to change down to 2nd gear, instant spin basically. Seeing videos changing down to 2nd on speeds 120+ seems utopia. Even if I'm on a 3rd gear, braking down to about 70km/h and changing to 2nd, it locks the rear and spins, even though I'm trying to heel and toe.

You're doing something wrong for sure. I had never driven a sim with so much stability in braking zone, I have no problem also downshifting without H&T

Well, you're obviously not heel and toeing good enough :p

Also, try not to throw the car in the corner too hard when you brake/downshift, as you put all the weight on the front the rear lacks grip and comes around.

Ditto that. I've got into the 1:27s in pro mode, I maybe able to squeeze another second or 2 but would never get near 1:22

More throttle when blipping. To little and rears will lock up.
 
I 'll just have to stick with the also rans with my paltry best time of 1:30:036 no aids except for auto clutch.
Can see me getting another second or two off but no way will I ever get near 1:22. Bah! :cautious:

edit... Put ABS on as it says in the FAQ and got my time down to 1:28:724. Getting better but am still a bit of a snail compared to some on here :)
 
Finally solved all the FFB shenanigans and now finally i can enjoy the game as it was ment to be played.
Just did 2 laps and thought i´d post a time for now.
I think 22´s is definitely possible for me before i hit the talent wall but anything faster i´m not so sure about....no idea how people hit 21´s..

 
So I decided to just bang out a lap and do a video, I was using the H-shifter + clutch instead of the paddles and that actually solved the horrible slow gear change issues I was having with the paddles, though I tend to drive a lot worse when I have to use the H-shifter because I'm right foot braking + half the time only 1 hand on the wheel. I get away with this in other games by using autoclutch + paddles, but here the skill cap is raised because I don't have that option.

Anyway, even though the lap is rough as hell it is one of my fastest laps, I've done a load of laps that felt faster, smoother and better, which is why it confused the hell out of me that this crappy lap turned into a 1:23.6

Would love to be able to add in a telemetry mod, similar to what is in Ferrari Virtual Academy perhaps, so I can school myself on why I'm so slow.
