Hey guys

Okay here are the skins created by me over the last few weeks.

38 in total, 19 Chevrolet and 19 Peugeot.

All completely fictional of course, but I hope you enjoy them.

I have given all the cars different numbers and names from the originals in game, so you should be able to run them alongside the original skins.

Pretty new to the modding aspect on the rfactor platform, and this is my first attempt.

Haven't found a way to have the game read a new RFM file hence the reason for the new numbers and names.

Also the rear view from the swingman/chase cam doesn't work properly (it doesn't show the car) in v2.9.

I'm sorry but I reported a bug that it isn't a bug! :thumbsdown:

Long story short: the rear view of the swingman cam doesn't show the car IF the virtual mirror is enabled, instead it shows the car IF the virtual mirror is disabled.

I'm sorry for this error, but I never noticed this difference before... :cry:

The LCD looks brighter than expected because "Kart" & "Superkart" have no roof.
I've tested the files carefully, but please let me know if there's any problem. I'll fix it asap.

Giving it a try again and have big problems with slowing down/heavy braking.
Brakes seem weak and the car becomes very unstable during downshifting.
It's oddly hard to stop the car in a straight line. I tried 75:25, but i still get the same behavior

I have just found out, though, that i forgot to turn off the digital steering, throttle, brake, etc. in ''Controller 2'', when i created the new controller profile for the car today. So, i reckon, that may have something to do with it as well. I feel more in control already, after turning that off and doing some test laps.
 
Honestly this car is my absolute favourite sim car of all time. I've ridden as a passenger in carrera cup car with a pro driver and this car recreates that feeling so well. On a bumpy corner the way the car hops a bit, loses traction and sticks again is just like the real life version where you are thinking that these tires are made of glue. If anyone is thinking this cars sticks to the road too much, don't worry the real car does the same thing!

How did you get to the chrome of mclaren , I try to do this in Photoshop CS6 and I can not . Can you help me?

It's so long ago I can't remember exactly how I did it and I don't have photoshop installed atm. But I learned it from some tutorial for chrome effect in rfactor, google that and you should find them (there might even be one tutorial somewhere in this forum). It's quite simple really, you just need to play with alpha channels. Hope this helps at least a bit.

Please try the following alternate way.

1. Please open the folder in the archive of this Mod.

... /GameData/Vehicles/Kart
or,
... /GameData/Vehicles/Superkart

2. Next, copy all ".BMP" & ".DDS" files in that folder, and paste them into "Stock Car Extreme" installation root directory (the same directory where "GSC.exe" is located.)

<Steam version>
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stock Car Extreme

<Non-Steam version>
C:\GSC2013

The problem of this installation is that the modded files affect the cars of other classes which have the files with the same name. But generally, this should work.

Please try this way and let me know if it works.

Also, when you do the update, might it be possible to have it compatible with the new 'automatic steering range' feature SCE has now implemented? As it is, it can be a bit of pain having to manually set the range in control panel every time I want to race this car. (Or does anyone know how I might do this myself?)

So i need to delete the files which i put in the kart folder?
 
This track is great for a race against the Super V8's. Did you guys see the real V8 Supercar races recently ? Great stuff !

One little thing that i've noticed : carshadows are casted on the bridges above the track. I tried finding the relevant objects in the scn file but couldn't. Can you maybe fix this @Patrick Giranthon in a future update ?

Yes, delete the files in "Kart" folder and try it.
For testing,

1. First, please delete all modded files already installed.
2. Put "KART_LCD.DDS" in

...GameData\Vehicles\Kart

If it works, it's ok. If not, delete it.

3. Next, put "KART_LCD.DDS" in the following directory (the same directory where "GSC.exe" is located.) and see if it works.

<Steam version>
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stock Car Extreme

<Non-Steam version>
C:\GSC2013

Please try the same about Superkart (S_KART_LCD.DDS) as well.
Generally, it should work. Please let me know the result.
