Hi guys,

I got me a problem that is slightly frustrating.

I Double Click on the STEAM Icon on the Start menu and nothing happens. However, steam.exe is showing in the Process Tab of Task Manager.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Tried running the .exe from the Root folder and it works like a charm... You can lock this topic now Mr. Mod

Does Steam have a problem cause i deleted the 2 blob files when it woulndt start and now it says updating but doesnt moves ....maybe steam is momentarily down ????

Yikes, I'm having the same problems. All of a sudden I have to log into Steam, even though it logged in by itself before. If that wasn't enough, when I try to log in it comes up with an error message saying that Steam is having trouble connecting to the Steam servers. I don't know what to do... maybe I should try deleting the .blob files... :sad:

I had the same problem, wouldn't let me connect to Steam. After trying lots of things, including rebooting my router, it eventually let me in.

I then had the most weird race on-line with the AU/US STCC event, (see my report) followed by disconnection.
Something strange is going on.

It was a problem with steam - pretty much everyone couldn't log in or view the website.

My HDD has fried, i'm on my Laptop atm.. im gonna put my Raptor in now and do a OS install.. ill be ready in about 2 hours up and racing
