can someone give me any feedback/their personal experience with the standard aliexpress shifter?

im going to buy a new one to replace my g29 shifter and im indecise between the aliexpress one and the shh shifter that i already read about in this post

Youre talking about the 6+r/7+r metal box style shifters?

I dont think you can go wrong with either. I would rather have the Aliexpress ones since you can really beat on them and replace it for 30-40 dollars if anything happens. Ive had one for a while and only had to replace a cheap aluminum screw they decided to use. One of the most integral parts of the shifter was held together by a 1.5mm thickness aluminum screw.

Others like the slightly more realistic feel to the SSH shifter.

I owned one of the AliExpress once for several years.
I loved it. Mostly and very often racing classic cars it lasted pretty good. It got a problem with the switches after 4 years in use. But concerning the price it was no issue for me. I expected it to fail way earlier. The mechanical side had no issue at all.
I was also stunned by the clever technical solution of it. Simple but very effective, good feel with nice, strong defined haptics.
You can’t go wrong with them!
If you buy one, get one with the small, additional white plastic part. So you can use it as a sequential too. I printed it for myself and it worked pretty well too!
