socks or slippers??

Being an old fart I always seem to wear my slippers when sim racing , but often see people on you tube in socks...which is better???

I'm experiencing much squeeking from my rubber soles on my metal pedals. Anyone knows a simple solution for this?

Bearing grease or skateboard tape.

Both are bad for your shoes.

I feel like if I wanted to race in shoes/slippers I'd need stronger springs in my (G25 based) pedals. Tried it recently in some very worn out, thin soled sneaker and it felt weirdly uncontrolled.

Anyone interested in these Sparco #77 driving shoes, UK size 11 (EUR 46)?
Very good condition, cleaned and sanitised, only worn indoors for sim racing. Very comfortable and light shoes with thin flat sole, excellent for sim racing.

SoftMoc unlined double-soles work well for me with G29-based pedals

I've been doing a bit of investigation in to this and thought I would try comparing the following:

Barefoot - good
Socks - good
Slippers - good
Socks over slippers - bloody awesome

So there you have it

I go socks when using sequential but put on my race shoe if I'm going to be working the clutch.

Being an old fart, too, I wear kinda thick cycling training socks (for winter training). Perfect for controlling G27 pedals and feeling the detailed surface-to-wheel rubber feedback from good sim engines and track mods
Edit: However thin socks is no go with the G27 pedals, too hard for 2-3 hours constant endurance racing.
