Yes I know I know. It's not this weekend, it's the next weekend the 24hrs at the Ring is...
However, next week will be another rookie week at RaceDepartment, so we'll build up to the 24hrs with our own little race at the green hell!

Standing start used to work fine here. Except that @Ole Marius Myrvold will most likely forget to put the server back to rolling for the following race

I'll do a test or three, and then change it if I cannot see any issues.
That would honestly be so much better for many tracks as well!

Standing start hasn't been a problem with GT3's here at RD the times we've used it.
A couple of years ago we did some GT3-Sprints, with 2 races of 25 minutes, with grid 2 based on fastest laptimes of the finishers in race 1. Then we only used standing starts, no major issues.

It's an issue with LMP2 & GTE's though
