rF2 S397 GT3 @ Laguna Seca - Fri 05 May 2023

rFactor 2 Racing Club event
My usual friday bonnet cam livestream can be found on this link when qualifying starts tonight :)

I'm still interested in this GAME despite this going on, guess i'll just try and join non gt3 races
probably if you ask for help someone can get you pointed in the right direction. or look around on-line, i'm sure someone has had the same problem and you can probably find a solution.

game works fine for me, but i realize some folks have issues with it here and there. it's worth the trouble getting it set up in my opinion. the rf2 races here have been really a fun experience.

good luck.

I really don't know what else to do, I own and have installed all the content, including the track, and it's still not working, so I'm at a loss

What a misfortune! I was disconnected from the server 7 minutes before the end of the race while I was in a good position. It's been a good race so far. Well, that's what happens. Better luck next time.

Nevertheless a great event!

It's official now, I a) can't drive and b) absolutely hate this track. Just can't do a single race here. Time to retire my rig I guess
And whoever was in charge of putting those sausage kerbs there should be fired immediately

that's too bad. you were running a good race. we wondered what happened to you. if only i could have been so lucky!

well, not gonna lie. struggled to get a rhythm going on that track. i generally like the track, especially given that it's in my home state, but man it was spin city out there for me. very technical track... and being a few seconds off the pace to start, all i could do is wave as everyone else flew past me...

oh well, i'll hope for better results on the next one. i'll have to put that track on my list of ones to practice up on, or avoid it altogether!

Yeah, I wondered where you went, we all agreed it was a disco :(

In practice I just couldnt get the Bimmer to rotate so I briefly tried the Ferrari to compare and while it was fast over one lap, it quickly lost balance and chewed up the tires at an alarming rate, so I went back to the Bimmer to force it to work, somehow.
Forcing it around the corner didnt help so I knew I had to try something in the setup to free the rear up without compromising corner exit traction. During qually I tried something that worked the right way, so I kept reducing things until it got too much and added one back. The car rotated, was fast in one lap and was decently drivable on hards with good tire wear.
Shame @Michael Rudolf made a mistake in the beginning, it was shaping up to be a nice race long battle. And yeah, its absolutely not my favorite track either. After driving Spa, it just feels so wierd Mickey Mouse like with horrible sausage curbs.

Anyway, thanks for organizing as usual! :)
