rFactor 2 Racing Club event
Those races last night were awesome, great combo @Denis Betty. Getting close to taking Eau Rouge and Raidillon flat was a great challenge. Blanchimont has never been so tricky as it was in these cars.
That March was really smooth and lovely to drive, I reckon more of you should give it a go if we do these again. Maybe Monaco? :O_o::D

Thanks for the racing last night it was an awesome combo.

I do however have a bizarre issue with rF2 which I don't think I have ever noticed before. It doesn't happen with all cars only some that I've checked.

When I select certain cars as soon as I press DRIVE and go to the pit garage the car starts revving to the max and I have no control over the throttle. This is odd as I have the ignition and starter mapped so the car shouldn't even be running. Other cars most notably the official content and some of the modded cars I checked are fine but not these ones, randomly chosen and by no means an exhaustive list;

ASR F1 1991 cars, the Williams, Honda and Fondmetal, probably them all though
Ariel Atoms, both
Aussie legends, can't remember which one but I think the Torana

Can someone try them out and tell me what happens?

I have done an integrity check, created a new control set and as some content is behaving as it should I guess it must be a mod issue??

Hey :)
Press all your pedals down before pressing drive -and it shouldn't happen .
I use a G29 and have exactly the same hurdle-when I open RF2 .

When you open RF2 look in control config -before you do anything else -and all your pedals should be at 50 % pressed down ( if its the same as I have ) press them down and they should return to zero = 0 % .

I have never tried finding a solution , I just massage my pedals before pressing drive .

If you play around with your pedals -before pressing drive it shouldn't happen.
I just noticed you said " Doesn't happen with all cars " my guess is you have touched your pedals before driving .

Hi.

What Stig says is a great help.

I now use fanatec pedals, I have had a similar problem. The fanatec pedals appear very stable and always seem rock solid, but mine have a habit over time of seemingly adjusting themselves.
This then creates a similar problem. It raises the idle revs up so the engine tick over gets higher and you then also do not get full throttle closer when lifting off.

When I go to the fanatech control panel where I had set them from 0% to 100%, often throttle, brake or Clutch are showing a lower setting anywhere between 3-7%

This keeps any of the effected pedals partly pressed even if not. Hope that makes sense?

A tap on the "reset" button fixes it everytime. Otherwise resetting the pedals will do the same.

Not sure what pedals you have but thought I would mention that Fanatec have issues too.

Thanks Stig and Paul, looks like it is a mod issue...I went on this afternoon to try out the suggestions but it was still the same with some cars. Denis came on and confirmed he had the same issue with the Aussie Legends mod..........looks like an update must have affected some 'older' mods.

Hey Max,
I just noticed the same problem.
Yesterday i was driving with the Puma GTE on Zandvoord and Nordschleife and everything worked fine.
Half an hour ago i started RF2 again with the same settings, cars, track and the enigne blows up after pushing the drive button, sometimes it just got on high number of revolutions (Drehzahl?) and the car starts "flying" to it's side.
I restarted the PC but that didn't help.
I tested Dirt Rally 2.0. There everything was fine.
Yesterday i had to install a Win10 updtate. I can#t remember if it was beforer or after i was in Rfactor2. I think it was before.
Did you install this update too ?

KB5023696

Maybe it causes our problem?

Greetings

Sven

I just found out that all cars from the Reiza Pack are buggy since today.
Metalmoro, MCR200, Puma, and the FormulaVee are "infected" and all other cars are not ghost-Throttling.

Sven, thanks for confirmig and yes I did have a Win10 update but as I guess we are now all experiencing these issues with some mods it is an rF2 problem.

At the end, I'm glad about this bug, because without it i wouldn't check out the (nonbuggy) Workshop-Mods by rastadrifter yet. . . Sometimes bad circumstances lead you to the best things by coincidence!

Hello everyone!

We have just released a mini patch to fix old engines not respecting RPM limits.
We all love a high-revving engine, but there can certainly be too much of a good thing!"

That was S397 on Tuesday, is it possible that this update have fixed it?
