Knowing that the previous cars will be updated with the final car release, can we expect them to handle more like the Shadow then?
Something that always 'bugged' me since Xmas was the 'weird' all-4-tire push / slide under downshift when the speed was still too high. (3rd > 2nd & 2nd > 1st)
The Shadow however does not have that attitude and feels more like every other car in AC in that regard. :inlove:
I tried to mention that in January but nobody else really picked up on that but yesterday ppl on the server did mention that they liked the Shadow for the more usual style there. :)

Sounds like you don't blip the throttle on downshifts.
Someone mentioned that the shadow has the throttle blip adjusted or something that happens when you have auto blip enabled, might have something to do with that.
I personally would recommend to drive without auto blip and do the rev matching yourself instead, these cars are meant to be driven this way.
Even back in GTR2 you had to blip when downshifting.

The Shadow probably has less engine momentum because less cylinders and oberall moing parts... tho the V8 is ofc massive...

I did a short test session last night and compared the cars, and imo the Shadow has a few issues still. Its gives less feedback and the FFB feels rather light (it reminded me of my Lotus with the boost turned down). The Lanzo, while resulting in slower lap times, just felt like giving me more feedback, same with the Ferrucio.

Also, the Shadow's sound is marvellous at part throttle and overrun, but the main on-throttle interior sound feels a little flat in comparism, could maybe do with more bass

Got wheel stand all set up (GT Omega, pretty nice after all the desks with a T500)
Shadow V8 sounds pretty good, though I like the V12 sounds of the mod most. Screeeeeeeeeeeeeam.
Definitely the stiffer car of the pack, as was expected from the shadow.
No side-wall bite of the tire either physically or through FFB. Could be the flat/long nature of the car itself.
I'd feel bad for the guy who valet's an S7.
It did seem light on detailed FFB. Not really a critique because some cars just are that way, and because this one is particularly flat and long and stiff, it's probably just how it is.
I had to dial the brake bias back a slight bit, otherwise the braking zones were much longer than others.
It was very hard to tell if there was lock-up. A mix of tire noise and FFB is missing here, at least to me. Maybe it's been too long since I've set everything up?

It's not my favorite of the pack, but that's also because it's not a favorite across any game or show.

I mean this post doesn't seem like "all hail RSS" but really, it is. It's absolutely fantastic. These critiques I'm not even sure of because this car is quite different from many others, so I'm taking it as personality as opposed to issues.

Thanks guys again for such a high quality pack. 120/10 may need earplugs for the Lanzo flybys ;) (don't turn it down)

love your Vortex ;)

24H Nür has one this year aswell.. running on LPG tho :cautious:

Anyways, I just revolutionized this engine and with 2x LOD and a 75mb .kn5 I am getting better drawcalls ingame and fps than official content and all RSS content, what I created and worked out will enable me in the future to create 500,000k tri cars and still get better FPS then all content in this engine. :D

My f**king mouth is watering. Might have to go to the doctor to see if i got regular rabies or rss fever.

By Nasa, I hope you mean Felipe "Nasr" in recreating the awesome Cadillac DPi-V.R, That V8 Grumble from a Prototype would be insane! ;)

Oh I'm with you on that statement! Would love to see an IMSA Prototype mod done with DPi/LMP2 cars, just seems like the more interesting series compared to WEC because of the manufacturer styling and engines...

But anyway that's for another post:whistling:. For now it's all about the 575, ahh whoops I mean 57:D
