I get "checksum failed" when i enter the FP server and i get kicked off. Am i doing something wrong?
I had the checksum as well. Make sure you have the latest version installed. Go to Selfy.com and create an account, login and re-download the car. This will give you the latest version and will fix the checksum.
Yes, thanks. that did the trick. One more question: can you choose your own skin in this server? I can only select a standard skin and i cannot seem to change it in CM. Is there any way to use your own skin?
Nope, can't choose your skin on AC servers. There are exceptions, but the short answer is unfortunately no.

SERVER ANNOUNCEMENT:
It has been previously mentioned that some guys have been having checksum issues with the Free Practice server as the car we're running on the server is version 3.0 so you may have version 1.0 or version 2.0 and as a result, you will get a checksum error.
You can get the latest version the car by looking at your purchases on Sellfy and downloading the car:

As a result of using this skin pack, I can assign liveries for different drivers. Due to there only being 20 cars in F1 (10 teams - 2 drivers), I have repeated 2 liveries but I would like to maintain unique skins as much as possible.
I will need your steamID64 to be able to assign you your chosen skin. If I don't have this, I can't assign it. Send me a PM with it along with your chosen skin and I will take care of the rest

Please note that there will be a cutoff point for livery selection which will be Wednesday, 25th of April at 5PM GMT.
If you are signed up for the race, you will still be able to join the server but you will get whatever skin that may be available.

D@mn, i've been doing some practicing at Spa, but i can hardly get a XXX lap out of the car. I see guys at FP today doing XXX! Is that a difference in gear, like wheel and rim? or is it just car setups (and driver skills obviously .. hehehe)
Starting to get kinda worried for tomorrow's event. At this pace I'd better just stay in the pits ;-)
