Has anyone else found a lack of grip during a race?

If I set the conditions to ideal I can hotlap, practice all night long. But If I go to a race the rears in particular have little grip. Tyre temps are fine. It doesnt matter whether im following another car or not. I can drop 1/2 a lap back and the grip just isnt the same?

I have, i can hotlap like its glued, then race and im struggling with the rears, by that time in playing catchup

Interesting... I know the telemetry is giving off weird spikes... Strange how its only in a race though. If you touch a curb at Barcelona you're a gonna!

i havent checked the tire temps but its like you start cold and after a few laps you get grip but your a lap behind
