Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
I understand the necessity to make jokes about it, but it hits a little close to home for me.

If you google "Blessem" that´s about 15km from our village.
Our village itself was unhurt (except for four days without electricity and telecomunication), but my place of work was badly hit and everybody here knows people who got displaced or worse, hurt.

Don´t search for "Ahrtal", it still looks like a warzone two years later.

Back to the fun part, looking forward to tomorrow Carsten

Apologies Carsten, I didn't want to be disrespectful to you nor to the victims which, as I said, are also here. I somehow felt that this was a "neutral space" but on the other hand everybody has been touched by something bad in their lives and this community always proved to be not only respectful but also to feel and show lots of empathy so it's important to keep this mood.

Omar,

that was not to you in particular, just a little Ventil becauae things are not
going well in the moment.

Especially the track map was funny
(If you hadn't been brought "to higher place by a fire truck because there was no way to cross the current by foot or car)

As I said, back to racing tonight.

Hey guys, **** happens around the world especially in easten Europe but we are doing this racing to lighten up our lives are we not. So for me, i am focusing on trying not to get my ass kicked this evening. See you all later :)
Thanks, Steve. You're absolutely right. And on top of that we have a multinational, multiracial, multireligious and multicultural community in which we treat eachother with respect!
But it's also good that we keep eachother sharp on this like Carsten did with his remark.

The times I have posted something i thought was funny, especially a photo.
Stared at it after the humour had left me, only to suddenly see that not everyone was going to view it the same way. And then hurriedly deleted it, not trusting my wobbly activation mouse finger.:D:D
All things in life are a form of perspective, seeing others perspective is the fundamentals of a balanced human society.

I'll write it again here: Oh god, sorry Ernie! I was the idiot of the day in race two today. With the thousands of accidents that I only ever caused to Ernie, I didn't even want to overtake. Just get close. I broke out in a sweat out of anger at myself. As I said: sorry sorry sorry, stupid stupid stupid.

Race one was surprisingly good for me. Of course only because Fulvio did Fulvio-things.

Nevertheless great event.

I like Imola. A real racetrack in contrast to Wipeout-Jeddah for example.

Hank, do not fret for one second, i was running no wing, it was not a problem for me, just all my winged colleagues that had the misfortune to be on my tail, i even held Fulvio off for three laps.
That's a first.:D:D
Had, for the formula Agile and Imola an exciting race, even Han gave me a position back on the last lap.:):)

Ernie this was the incident if you check the line when you start braking and after my first tyre passed ur rear tyre
the 2nd video is in slow motion to help see the point Edit : the space was ok until you decided to take the entire track https://paste.pics/O2DU8

I do not have the replay of the first race Fulvio, so I am not sure about anything other than I was not bothered by it, you were going to go by at some point, it just made it later rather than sooner. :roflmao::roflmao:. You were on occasion pinging or I was, so it is anyone’s guess we’re either of us was positioned.

Since I didn't see Markus today, I assume Han run the race -- Thanks Han for organizing the race!

The fight that Fulvio talked about with Ernie, must be the one I got to watch -- I was amazed I could follow these two, albeit at ever further distance but never lost sight for a lap and half.

Race two I got punt off at the second part of Villeneuve at the start. That turned out to be a lesson after watching the replay. I should be on the gas at that point instead of coasting. I have to figure out how to do that without going wide on exit (when I tried getting on throttle early before). The good thing was making the fastest time on this circuit at the last lap of the race.

The learning continues...

I had a lot of fun last night. This car is so great because it stays driveable on the edge but killing if you go over it. It needs therefore a lot of concentration.
I didn't practice beforehand because I don't like Imola mostly because of Variante Alta which I can't get right. I have normally also trouble with Aqua Minerale but in this car it went quite allright.
I was very surprised to qualify 3rd (actually 4th because Fulvio didn't a lap) but in turn 5 I was victim of an incident and went on to the grass which took a long time to get back on track. After that a very enjoyable race with some overtakes and freebies in 3rd position again. I was very slowly closing in on Steve but not enough to get him. In the last lap I had a battle with Fulvio with was nice but when I overshot my braking point for Variante Alta (yes of course that one) I went on the grass and returned unsavely on track and also a bit out of control. That's why I forced Fulvio off track and we both went off. Fortunately we didn't loose our place and before the finish I waited on him to take 3rd but he also waited so 3rd it was.

In the second race I made a lot of mistakes resulting in 7th position.
Looking forward to the next races with this great car.

Tip for who doesn't especially like this car: join us on Wednesdays with the Abarth. That will make you appreciate the Agile for sure!

Next week Pau as replacement of Monaco. It's very hard to overtake there like in Monaco. I hope that everyone can be patient so there won't be any pile ups. Qualify is equally important as for Monaco so do your best but accept that you might be in a train in the race.
And pitstop strategy can play an important role so you'd better practice that also.

I actually didn't want to mention it and just skip the race in Monaco (alternative) as I often did in the F1 games. Driving for an hour in a row without overtaking doesn't sound really exciting.

In a nutshell: Battenbergring instead?

Just a thought....
