Rosberg/Hamilton & Sportsmanship

Lol, looks like you need to brush up on your F1 history :D

Jack Brabham won three world championships. Two with the Cooper Climax in 1959 and 1960, and another one with Brabham in 1966.

*drops mic!

(For future reference, please research to make sure you are posting correct facts ;) )
yip i need to brush up on some facts indeed Sir Jack took 2 titles with Cooper and then a 3rd a few years later in his own car. LH is indeed now 2nd on the GP winning list having past Prost's tally of 51 -

Season 2014
Hamilton retires because of:
  • engine in Australia
  • brakes in Canada
  • damage after collision with Rosberg in Belgium
Rosberg retires because of:
  • gearbox failure in England
  • electronical problems in Singapore
  • ERS failure in Abu Dhabi
Season 2015
Hamilton retires because of:
  • Power unit in Singapore
Rosberg retires because of:
  • Throttle failure in Russia
  • Engine failure in Italy
Season 2016
Hamilton retires because of:
  • engine failure in Malaysia
Rosberg
  • Suffers from a gearbox problem in England (costs him 3 points)
Of cause they both retired in Spain after colliding with eachother.

So if you combine all the failures over the 3 seasons what do you get ?

LH 2 and NR 1 !!

If NR was up to a challenge why sneaking out of the game at the last moment? Talk about sportsmanship - leaving the team this way is a very sly move dont you think.

BTW - LH was refering to the 18 year period he and NR competed in the same championships and LH is quite right when he says Nico has never beaten him until 2016 - nothing wrong or unsporting about that.

?? Why??

I just lay down some material to discuss. Nothing more, nothing less.

But i know for some discussions are there to win at all costs.

In my opinion Lewis is by far the faster driver, although he got beaten by Nico sometimes. And this year Nico scrambled more points, so he is world champion.
Btw: The world champion does not always need to be the fastest driver.

What's unsporting is for him to forget an entire season:
2004 Formula 3 Euro, and that's with ROS finishing 3 fewer races that HAM

It seems to be what most f1 articles are about these days "look what he/she said, isn't it terrible!".
Sad times for the sport when tabloid gossip is what it's all about.

Hopefully 2017 will be a much better year for f1 -- very optimistic, as it could not be worse than it is right now.

F1 is never going to change - been like that since adam fell off the bus. If you go back to the 50's you will read all about the intrige and gossip and political and who-said-what-when - even back then media and fans sturred the pot as much off track as things happened on track - its what makes Formula One

LOL shame a good driver is always less liked - LH was ALWAYS going to beat NR no matter what - Good one Mercedes for "organising" a very strange engine blow up and various realiability issues for LH this season and GOOD for Lewis to back his dear old pal into the traffic in the final - only problem was that it happen to be Vettel (another German) behind in 3rd at that point - Frankly I was hoping to see DR or MV (or BOTH) in a position to challenge Nico which would have been Lewis's sweet revenge. Like father like son (or is it the other way round?) Kiki won the championship with ONE victory in 1982 when F1 experienced the death of Villenueve and then the demise of Didier Pironi (both Ferrari and one of them the most likely champion in that dismal 1982 season.) Hate Lewis as much as you like, he is currently 3rd BEST of all champions ever. Only Schumacher and Prost has more wins. Go Lewis GO !!

That's a hilarious message. Hamilton doesn't even compare to Schumacher, Senna, Prost or Fangio, and isn't better than Alonso, Ricciardo or Vettel at least in the modern day. No one even considered him one of the best before he got one of the most dominant cars in history 3 years in a row. Also laughing at your claim to have great knowledge of F1 history, and then saying Brabham only won 2 championships in the same sentence. Take a hike. You also type ridiculously.
