In qually I just focused on getting a clean lap in to secure the front row spot, which worked.
I had a decent start but for some reason I forgot to pull to the left, leaving me with a terrible line through T1 and had to back off to avoid pushing David too far out. That killed my speed and combined with having to defend a little from David again into T2, Michael was miles out infront after only 3 corners. As I cleared David, I set off to try and catch Michael, but since I had the setup a bit tight in the beginning, but loosen off during the race, progress was slow. A tenths gained here, lost there, you get the pictures.
A little while later, still gaining a tenth every other lap or so, Michael made his aforementioned mistake which I cant blame him, that corner was sketchy all night long.
Got by, got pressured for a while until my car finally started to come in and his to come off. After we entered the 2nd stage of the race, I slowly started to ease off in the distance, the gap growing ever so slightly until he started making mistakes (I could see dust clouds at the same time as the gap increased dramatically), so I eased it off a little towards the end.
Mistake free race with a setup that was balanced enough to keep it from getting too loose. Even managed to keep the front brakes from fading. Well chuffed with well executed plan
