We have discovered a new hidden gem in AMS2. The MetalMoro MRX Duratec P3. This little prototype with a small low powered engine in combination with lots of grip makes for an easy to handle rookies car.

Are you new to simracing, aka a rookie, and want to race with more experienced simracers who will show you the ropes and help you as much as they can during a casual fun online event, don't miss out and sign up today! (experienced drivers are of course very much welcome as always!)

You will not get any faster or skilled by not racing online, you will only get faster with online practice and resistance with other real drivers surrounding you. Hello @louiej86 , you are at the right address.

Most races in our racing club we host on our new platform simracing.gp and racing there is dead easy. Just a click and you can race. However Automobilsta 2 (aka AMS2) is not yet supported (soon though) and we sign up the old fashioned way here on the forum.

If you wish to race with us:

• reply to this thread that you would like to join and ill add you to the signup list in the first post of this thread
• in the first post you can find links to our discord, the password to join the server. The server will appear at the time listed in the first post. Discord and all info to get that setup you find on the discord server under #read-this-first.
• make sure that you update your real name field so we can address you here with your real name (non-premium members can't see this real name) https://www.racedepartment.com/account/account-details
• At the time of the start of the practice:
  • Open your AMS2 game
  • Click on multiplayer
  • Find the server called "RACEDEPARTMENT.COM"
  • Fill out the password
  • Race with us
  • Crash
  • Recover
  • Ask questions
  • Get answers
  • Say "Hi"
  • We say "Hi" back
  • @Steve Le Gallez will tell really bad "that's what she said jokes"
  • You try to laugh or just say "lol" to please Steve
  • We continue racing
  • You ask tips
  • We give you tips
  • We finish
  • We say "OMG WHAT A RACE WAS THAT?!!"
  • We all agree
  • We say "Bye"

I had that installed and have 5 skins for the duratec, for the honda mrx and the other one too ofcourse. But you specify only the duratec as the car for the race and not all P3's in your post, hence my confusion

Hi Louie they are really supportive… I am starting out on a sim racing journey too from a very low ground zero, and the racers here make you feel very welcome….

Trust me I’m like a slow moving chicane most of the time… so you may pass me fairly often

But it’s very very enjoyable indeed, and it so makes real sense of any sim kit you may own when you use it in a proper race (and not against the AI)

yeah the cars arent really balanced as far as I know. Have you done some comparing laptimes between the various models?
