Romain Grosjean

I think most agree that he is a quick driver, but as we know, it's not all about raw speed :(.

He has made horrible mistakes this season, but IMO he was arguably worse in his debut season. His debut season was not even a full one so not sure if that counts as a debut proper.

I think he will grow out of this phase of unsophisticated driving and become one of the best drivers in F1. I think it might even show as soon as 2013 if he retains his seat. (That was a bold statement).

Other drivers are quick like Maldonado, dependable like Kovalainen, basic like Rosberg, but Grosjean has that thing somewhere inside him. He needs coaching and he will be! He will be!
Grosjean just lead at Suzuka. Problem in F1 is testing ban and it hurts the rookies. Its a big jump from GP2 to F1.

Interesting how no one's predicting Roamin to lose his 2014 seat any more.
Lotus musty really need that Total spornsorship deal! I can't see any other reason why they wouldn't sack him off.
Well, he improved a lot I think - so why should they even think about dropping both drivers? :)

Tom

i am very happy with his performance so far this year. I think certain views on him last year were harsh (some were quite fair), and as a fan of his I am quite happy to see him continue to develop well as a driver

This kid is becoming impressive - I really like him at the moment. Red Bull just had that 2 tenths per lap extra in hand to make a mockery of Lotus' strategy, otherwise he would've won.

The one thing I have noticed too, is his head is moving around a lot more these days, and he is very aware of what is going on around him, and in battle, he leaves just enough space for everyone.

I am hoping they give him a serious car next year, to really challenge at the front, every race. Grosjean-Vettel could become the next Hakkinen-Schumacher like battle.

He is growing up, but you still can't forget his 2012 season. If Lotus retain him, 2014 could be a very good year for him as their #1 driver.

That's like saying you can't forget Vettel's 2007 season, where he rammed into Mark Webber, amongst others.

He has worked hard at his race craft, and you can see that he is a totally different driver from 2012.

Maybe his neck gets an 'erection' when driving so fast... will explain why it's so sturdy :sneaky:

No wonder he would get a erection, those crashes look sexy :roflmao:

Well, ruined the whole world championship and Vettel could crown himself 3rd time world champion because he is so good or he had so much luck on his side?
And it was different than Singapur 2009 I think. If Grosjean wins 1-2 titles, he might be get once again in the focus of Ferrari, but not without.

extremely impressed with Grosjean at the moment, what a great race at the weekend

1 stopper and showed Raikonnen up! I'm so glad he handed that position back fast to eliminate any risk of a penalty! quick thinking!

I hope he gets a couple more podiums before this season is out - we all know he's got that pace... but pace and consistency? he's almost there and his rivals are surely getting worried

on a side note - i hope maldonado does not join lotus... they'll be the most feared team on the track...... haha
