Race of Romania Results

Kederer streaks away
Tobi Kederer took a massive lead in the championship, after winning the Race of Romania. His lead is now 12 points, as title rival Jimmy Laad retired from the race, after a late-spectacular crash. Dhafin Rizki and William Neron completed the podium, ahead of a few drivers who can't really be classed as regular points finishers this season. Rautavaara, Said, Wolf, Keranen and Utzer completed the points. The run-up to and final chicane was one of the pinch points in the race, causing the retirements of a few drivers. Ron Squire and Nicholas Lapierre crashed around the corner, and Jimmy Laad, Danny Watts, and Steven Poirier all ended their races in the same vicinity.

With 4 races left, the top 7 drivers can mathematically win the championship only. If Laad's bad streak continues, he could find himself having to defend second.

Race of Spain Preview
4 races are left on the calendar, and the first of these 4 is the Race of Spain. The Hills of Death circuit hosted the second ever race for this series, and has now moved to the end of the season. Last year was rather controversial as quite a few drivers ran out of fuel really close to the pit lane. Will this happen again? Can Jimmy Laad get back into the title hunt? We'll have to see, after riding for a lap with Rui Martins, who has a new team mate for the last few races, in Gary Ludlum.
