DIEHL TAKES VICTORY FOR NISSAN
Nissan started Formula E where they finished Epsilon Euskadi's. After dominating the last series of the LMP's, they turn up to the first RDe-Prix and take victory. Last-minute signing Pablo Diehl was well acquainted to the car it seemed as he impressed with a 40 second victory. This was more amazing as he started the race by crashing into Tobi Kederer in a remarkable 1st lap Beachside Chicane chaos. Diehl lost his front wing and Kedy lost his wheel and had to retire. At the back, a damaged Vimal Ana caught out James McNamara entering the chicanes, who was sent violently flying through the air. Ana was out on the spot, and his team mate Harvey joined him at the sidelines, when he collected McNamara while he was still airborne. Amazingly, McNamara managed to keep going! Ben Utzer crashed into Andy Graham late in the race, removing both from contention. Manolis Sigoulakis found out that a missing rear wing doesn't help stability into a heavy braking point, and Nathan Cornes was victim of Ancevski's optimistic move.
Behind Diehl, Takuma Ishikawa scored a podium in his first rFactor race ahead of Steven Poirier. The Shark GP driver was racing under scrutiny and sadly for him and the team, his podium didn;t yield quite as many points as it should have. Andy Black, Poleman Omer Said and Milos Ancevski were the last unlapped drivers. Jawz and Nissan both got double points finishes, as 2KF1 got two of their 4 drivers in the lower points at one of their two home RDe-Prix' - Cocks and Keranen respectively.
Official Press Conference
(If I get one single moan about not being included in interviews, these are going away for the whole season)
@Diehl, how does it feel to be the first winner of a new championship? And how much of the win was down to the experience of the team you're with?
@Takuma Ishikawa, Podium on your debut must feel good right?
@Steven Poirier, with a decent haul of points being penalised away from you, do you regret the circumstances that led to it?
@Benutzername @kedy89 @Millsy24 @Vimal Ana, double DNF's for your teams. How will you guys bounce back?
I hope the championships graphics are OK and understandable.
