wip of shadermask....but it´s really hard, oh my god, what i have start....

actually i made a new one and at moment this will be better, but also not 100%.
Very strange parts i remap but little "errors" i let it be.

...it could take a while. ;)

p.s. this could also chanche the use of my other mods, maybe at the end, there are only 2: 16k or 32k.
 
Is it hard to put cones in map ? I miss sometimes a corner and go on the wrong road at intersections... :)) Or just learn the whole track i guess. Maybe a new layout with cones. Something to think of. I just showed yesterday this great track to my wife and she took all the wrong roads too :))))))
 
put cones in map should not so hard, but i have other cares. :roflmao:

...at beginning i´m also used the wrong roads, but this was nearly fixed with 0.95 objects and meanwhile i know every stone with forename. :ninja:

...shadermask looks even better and i remap more and more, but not all, otherwise I'll be retired before i finished it. ;)

at moment i´m nearly in the middle of the track, beginning was the hardest, now it goes faster.

i also fixed now some "strange mapping places", but only the anomalies in "near of view".
......actually the side of the track is too bright. ;)

just some wip pictures, now my target is: fix all mapping anomalies.

finishing shadermask must actually wait for that. ;)

..oh forgot to say, the reason why my pistures/trees are so bright is my "VR adjustment".

So, all mapping anomalies are fixed, next would be remap some places, that are not compatible with AC shader(mask), like i said: "oh my god, what i have start"

...and this to a old man, who has not modded since 13 years....my decision was Blender and there i´m a noob. :unsure:

But i´m so blown away with this track in VR, i have to do this.
 
....at first part of the track, i try a idea of me, track in blender now using texture and shadermask together, so i can see, how it looks ingame, first part finished(remapped to shadermask)...tested ingame and i´m surprised how good this works. :)

i would only say, it´s in work.....but this time, it really took longer. :p

...like i said, first part done, but i think(actually not really sure), there are 10 parts.....one a day and then only mapping is done. ;) :whistling:

I don't want to downplay it, i´m vaccinated....but i feel good. :alien:

..apropos "remap some places"...forget it....."remap much" is better. ;)

short update:

mapping is done (what a hard work, i nearly remap complete side of track (both sides, lol) and do 2 other "errors finds" (check every cm of the track).

result is nearly perfect, now i finish shadermask, but i not really know how get the same shading/color/reflection/specular, etc. at 2 different materials/textures, i will test it tomorrow. ;)
 
Bad news update:

today all was done and i do a last test, then i saw, the normals problem on track was not in official 1.05 version, this error came from me. :(
....also with my new mapping, the original shadermask is nicer, than mine. That´s crazy, new mapping + old shadermask is best. :O_o:

...at moment i learn how to edit normals in blender and/or copy that.
Second is, that i will use orig shadermask an chanche the mapping for that.

I could release a updated version(ok, it look better), but with errors?!
...if interested i can/will do. ;)

big errors remapped and i would take the atmosphere, so i don´t remap so much as i did for my shadermask.
Semetin lives from the different track detail, my own shadermask ruined that. :rolleyes:

....Texture and shadermask is only a little bit chanched, also gras should be a little bit darker and road little big brighter (other specularmap).

Have fun!

....but it´s no finished yet, i see more work to do. :roflmao:
