Day 3 : no picture from 1st stage, but after an early crash (despite not being that violent), and with a car already suffering, I had to deal with constant smoke coming from the engine...

I should have gently got the car to the finish line, but last stages were nice, especially after the night stress, so I kept pushing.

Two more frights in the last two stages, and finally the end. My Mini and I made it!

A very nice moment, even if I'm a bit sad that the other Mini didn't make it.
Many thanks to the RDRC Dirt Rally team for this rally, and I hope there will be more before Dirt 4 comes out.

(Sorry for my english, but it's not my native language and I don't use it often).

My friend! How nice to meet you here ... Greetings!
Hi m8 was wondering when you would notice :)

after keeping a very large field for a very long time, competitors' numbers are finally slipping a little, it had to happen sometime. So far 145 chaps have tackled stage01 and about half of those have finished the rally. Five hours to go before the end of the tournament (sob).

I am so sad. Haven't heard a while from my teammate. Hoped he would play this weekend, but no. So I've to say bye to a podium for the Team Championship, I guess :(

Phew! Finally found some time to run Day 3 and finished the season..
Unfortuately I could not get in any kind of rythm, so had 3 resets and a number of crashes due to lack of focus:(.
Positive note: Since I already was at the bottom of the list after Day 2, I simply can not have dropped any further... And.... I did make it 'til the end.
After day 2, the car was till in pretty OK shape and the rain had washed off most of the dirt:

However by the time I was done with it some subtle remodeling had taken place:roflmao:

I want to express a BIG

to all members of the RDRC team for their huge efforts to creat this amazing championship! It was an absolute blast to be part of it.
I also want to thank all members of this great community who participated here; it was great fun reading all your stories, and looking at all of the screenshots and video's!
I also want to thank my teammate Jacob, aka BeanieRally for scoring the major part of the points that our "My First Rally" team managed to gather..
Last but not least I want to thank my co-driver for risking his digital life everytime he got in the car with me, probably the most under-talented, most ill-prepared driver of them all.

Regardless my results, participating was an amazing exerience and great fun!

I don't expect my aging rig to be able to run Dirt4 at any kind of decent framerate, but if by any chance it does, and my schedule will have tidied up a bit by then, you might might actually find me coming back for more!!:D

Disaster on SS7. I somehow managed to unbind my pause key so when my wirless headphones ran out of battery I couldn't pause. I had to run the stage without sound. Now that was quite tricky to say the least. I eventually went off the road and lost a good 20 seconds or so.

:rolleyes::D

I seem to remember your teammate winning a rally in RBR in the Swedish RBR series without having sounds for the whole rally.
So, he'll probably laugh at your excuse:whistling:

Damn... been looking forward to Wales since the RDRC started, but now I'm going to have to give it a miss. :cry:Doing the whole thing tonight was the plan, but I have a splitting headache and can barely look at my monitor let alone drive a rally. :(

Oh well... at least I managed to achieve my objective last time out.

I had a late start with the league and missed the first few rallies. It was fun & exciting to compete with some of the best sim racers !! My favorite rally is the Welsh rally. The stages remind me of my home rally, The Susquehannock Trail Pro Rally in Wellsboro, Pa. I'm looking forward to next season !! Thanks all !!

Well it was going well until the radiator exploded, and then the rest of the car 2 stages later:roflmao:
Im a bit disappointed I had to retire for the first time this season, but Im very happy with some of my stage times! Some proper giant rivalling ones in my little 037 :D

Bring on next season, thank you all of you. Without you we couldn't have had such an amazing season and built upon RDRC to make it even bigger and better.
Lets see what happens next... :ninja:

Anyway, heres one of the best runs. Its taken straight off my monitor from the rift, I wasn't intending to record hence why the video looks the way it does. SS12, complete with exploded radiator.

Enjoy!

What amazes me is that only 79 out of 155 people has completed the rally, hehe. (PC)

Leg 2 was done a little while ago.

It started out with nice car without any dents at all after my very tidy first leg!

Like Leg 1, it was all about keeping the car in one piece, not cause much damage or anything.

Maybe not so evident just here...

But easier to see the safe approach here

I promise! It was safe driving!!

Just see!

Safe and steady all day!

In the end the leg was completed in the dark, but again with no scratches on the car, even though the engine light turned on during SS11, I feel I've taken good care of the car, and not beeing to far off the current class leader in PC, I might push on Leg 3 due to me believing that I have a good car for the last day!

Well that was an interesting rally, made sooo many mistakes and was only beaten by @Suthern Star by 6 seconds. Glad its over, wales was never a strength of mine in these old cars. Had a great time competing with you guys. Thanks to everyone involved in making this rally happen. Best I've been in by far, well organised and great competition. I look forward to season 9 with Dirt 4 and never seeing the same stages ever again. That means you Sweet Lamb :mad:

Unmitigated disaster from stage1... When I try and back off to conserve the car I just miss my lines. Slid into a tree and cracked the windscreen after 5 corners, all 20 stages with a cracked windscreen in Oculus! Anyway, finished when I didn't deserve to, radiator at 0% at second service :p I think I ran three stages clean and that was it.

Thanks to Ole and team for running this and thanks to the Emirates Team NZ for letting me ruin your good name, didn't get my teammate many points. Oh and Ole, if you have video of you driving the Escort like you gifs, I could watch that for hours, I can but dream of that car control!

From the Pre-Season test :) (the only time I had time to test tbh). @ Sweet Lamb

I'll upload the run I had on SS20 this rally as well, as I think that was a better run, even though it was slightly slower :)

Results for Rally Wales will be delayed!
As we know, Codemasters did both fix and screw around with RaceNet lately, and we've also seen drivers disappearing, and reappearing and all sorts of things. This have also caused one driver to completely disappear from the RaceNet system after a stage, and that is causing our results parser to become more confused than a goat on astroturf or a homeless man with house arrest... So this have caused our RDRC-Crew coding guy to try to fix the issue, and this also causes us to have to look through the results before posting it, if we are able to get everything to work as it should.
Best case scenario is that the provisional results will be posted in 12-20 hours (timezone differences, sleepy-time and so on). But it can take several days to get it all fixed.

If we won't be able to get the results out like we want (every stage and so on) we still have the total times from all three leagues, due to making another session in the league, to save the actual rally result for longer. So no matter what, we will have a result from the rally. We are just working hard to get the results out the way we want, and the way you have all become used to over the season.

Blah......I never get longer than SS6 before the game CTD, i don't know how many time i try to start over and over but i was on SS6 4 times before i give up. I'm sure i started the first stage 30 times.
I had always had troubbel with this issue but now it was just hopeless.
Im so happy that this crappy game is history now, i dont have big expectations to Dirt 4 since i know who is making it. But mabe they can suprise me for once.
