AC RDEC Round 2 @ Portimao - Sunday 16th April 2023

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
Can highly recommend these Ernie, you can set to rumble when brakes lock, or just before (and anything in between!) https://www.sim-3d.co.uk/product/pedal-rumble-motor-kit/6 -f you buy 2 (another for the accelerator) it'll mimic wheelspin/loss of traction:thumbsup: Thorough review and setup guide here: https://simracingcockpit.com/rumble-kit/

Thank you John, only ever thought of shakers as an effect, not anything practical.

@Interslice thank you for the Help, I was chasing down Nathan, and obviously keeping an eye on you. When you said I am just running to the finish, I could 100% concentrate on Nathan, who I guessed was running on tyres well in the yellow.

:)

Tbh I've not used them for a few months, but there's been an update for Simhub - it occasionally crashed the game but now fixed, and I've really missed them. Terrific support from the guy that runs it, both personally and through their Discord Chanel.

But yeah, they are as good as a DD for the feet, if that makes sense:p

Recently I was informed of the Crew Chief app, dismissed it for ages, and recently started to use it.
Really very useful, flags included.:)

Has not stopped me from punting everyone off in these mixed-class races, well I suppose you cannot have it all.:roflmao::roflmao:
It's not crewchief Ernie.
It's simply the #1 rule:
All lmp drivers are scumbags :roflmao:

Thanks everyone for some great racing last night but I wanted to explain the strange circumstances of my race start (or initial lack of it!).

Unfortunately just as I was about to start qualifying my wife came running in to say that her mother was very sick and needed driving to hospital (I got her there and she's now in a more stable condition thankfully). Of course at the time I jumped out of my rig without warning and thought that was the end of my race night.

Anyway having got my mother-in-law safely to hospital I was sent home (by my wife/father-in-law) as my youngest was home alone at a slightly borderline age. When I got back I was amazed to see that you'd only just started (on lap 3 I think, which I understand now was due to some technical problems) and hence I thought why not join in instead of mopping around waiting for the phone to ring!

Needless to say starting from the pit lane two laps down then made for an interesting race back, first through the GTE cars (unlapping myself several times) and finally unlapping one or two LMPs. With the LMPs it was a difficult balance between unlapping and blue flags, but I tried my best to be fair with everyone and not infer with anyone race, I hope I didn't. In the end I was very happy to finish 7th despite still being three laps down on Joel at the end. As always, well done Joel and Fulvio on the wins, plus Brian for organising.

Anyway just thought I should explain as pretty unusual circumstances, especially as in my rush to start I forgot to connect to Discord so many apologies if anyone was trying to communicate with me during the race.

Hi Thomas. That's a strange one. There is nothing in the server logs about it. It shows you joining as normal from what i can see. All checksums etc. are passing.

To troubleshoot it further you could trying disabling all the individual parts of CSP including the PP/Sol settings in Assetto corsa/video.

I see Hank had a similar issue with CSP. He has deleted the message above. Does it work ok in single player with the same cars in race session?
Had the same issue in single player. Just tried a different CSP version again and now it seems to work.
