I vote no wall there.
I don't know, will the RDLMS be returning in 2018 for Season 8...? Let's see...Hello
Will there be an RDLMS season 8 in 2018?
Hey!
Is there any official statement on why are we using Sebring version with a wall on Gendebien Bend?
Last Wednesday when we were taking the first training at the track the version on the track was the 12H one, without the wall, which, in my opinion might be safer for a 6 hour.
Thanks in advance for your reply.
Adding to it, it also narrows the track entering the corner for the backstraight. The game gives you a cut track if you use the area that the wall "prevents" you anyway. So I definitely vote for the no wall version, as it adds a escape route if needed.
I will give some screenshots on the "narrowing" later on.
Edit: here it is, still about more than a tire left until we exceed rule limits.

Apologies for taking so long to respond - I have been away over the past few days. Thank you for the feedback guys. The reason why the wall has suddenly appeared is because the track layout which introduces these walls, in certain areas around the track, is the only one that has so far been "fully" updated for league use by the RDLMS.
I vote no wall there.
There is no need to apologise - you are still well ahead of the deadline to make line-up changes. Teams are permitted to add and remove drivers from their car(s) until 24 hours before the race.Sorry for the late change but this is due to pc issues,

Why?!?!?!??!?! WHY?!?!?!?!? I'll be back tomorrow i guessIMPORTANT!
The RACEDEPARTMENT.COM LMS R6 and RACEDEPARTMENT.COM LMS DRY servers shall be down from 21:00 GMT tonight until 09:00 GMT tomorrow morning while we conduct essential maintenance and testing in preparation for Round 6. We apologise for the short notice, and any inconvenience this may cause.
I am very sorry @BhZ. This outage was admittedly unplanned and rather abrupt. However, we have finally reached a position to carry out necessary and relevant maintenance in preparation for the final event of the season, and with only a few days remaining before the race we decided it would be best to preform an unscheduled shut down and to update the servers as required sooner rather than later. We apologise for not informing the participants or completing the update sooner; unfortunately, on this occasion, neither option would really have been possible. Why?!?!?!??!?! WHY?!?!?!?!? I'll be back tomorrow i guess
cheers DaimanIMPORTANT!
We apologise for last night's unscheduled and abrupt outage, as well as the delay to restarting the servers this morning, however I am glad to announce that the necessary maintenance has been completed in preparation for the upcoming event.
A minor update for Sebring International Raceway is now available; the overly restrictive and unnecessary tyre wall at Gendebien Bend has been removed from the new version - v1.04 - of the track, following the feedback that we received from several participants.
We would like to ask you to ensure that this version of the track remains private. The component must not be made publicly available to or shared with anyone outside RaceDepartment - only Premium Members are permitted to access the server and resource. Anybody who is found to have distributed or utilised this mod without prior permission, except for the RDLMS or personal use, shall face disciplinary action - this may include expulsion from the league, and a potential ban from RaceDepartment. Thank you for your cooperation.
If you have already subscribed to the private Steam Workshop group - see here for more information - then the updated resources will be automatically downloaded when you open the Steam client (you shall need to close rFactor 2, including the Launcher, first / before you log in to the server else the process to retrieve updates from the Workshop will not commence). If you have not yet subscribed to the private Workshop group then you may do so by following these instructions. Alternatively the resources can be automatically downloaded and installed via GetMod, when you login to the official RaceDepartment servers for the RDLMS (RACEDEPARTMENT.COM LMS R6 or RACEDEPARTMENT.COM LMS DRY). The component files (except for the track mod) can also be acquired manually, via direct download links in the General Information thread, and also the event thread (Round 6: Thrustmaster 6 Hours of Sebring). If you experience any issues with accessing the updated files then please inform us as soon as possible so that we can investigate and rectify any problems.
rFactor 2 BUILD v1108 FOR ROUND 6
Due to known issues with the latest build of rFactor 2 we have now made the decision to revert the RDLMS servers to the previous build, therefore participants will also be required to revert their clients to the same build (if they have not done so already). The game must be reverted prior to launch; failure to do this will prevent access to the server.
Those who are using DX9 and currently running 'v1109' (with either the 'None - Opt out of all beta programs' or 'v1109' option selected) must switch to 'v1108' by selecting the corresponding option under the 'Betas' tab of the 'Properties' menu.
Those who are using DX11 and currently running 'v1109-DX11-open-beta' must switch to 'v1108-DX11-open-beta' by selecting the corresponding option under the 'Betas' tab of the 'Properties' menu.
Those who have selected an alternative beta will need to switch from their current option to either 'v1108' (for DX9) or 'v1108-DX11-open-beta' (for DX11) under the 'Betas' tab of the 'Properties' menu in order to be able to access the servers.
The 'Properties' menu can be accessed by right-clicking on the game in your Steam library.
QUALIFYING AT NIGHT FOR ROUND 6
I would like to remind all teams once again that qualifying at Sebring will take place at night (in-game) so that you can suitably prepare for this session in advance of the event.
ROUND 6 EVENT SCHEDULE
The Thrustmaster 6 Hours of Sebring is the final event of the season, and now only 4 days away! Please note that the session and race start times have been adjusted accordingly to take "daylight saving time" into consideration, now that this has either ended or started where it is applicable across the world. Therefore Official Practice shall commence at 12:00 GMT, GT Qualifying at 12:40 GMT and Prototype Qualifying at 13:15 GMT, before the green flag is waved for the Race at approximately 14:00 GMT, on Saturday 18th November. Most of you will probably find that following the adjustment the event will start and end at the same times as before the time change. More information can be found here, and the schedule has also been included below.
All times are in GMT.
- 11:55 | Race server reboot
- 12:00 | Official practice & Briefing (no duplicate cars allowed from this point)
- 12:40 | GT qualifying (30 minutes)
- 13:10 | Qualifying switch-over (5 minutes)
- 13:15 | Prototype qualifying (30 minutes)
- 13:45 | Warm-up
- 14:00 | Race start (in-game: 15:00 / 3:00 PM)
- 20:00 | Race ends (in-game: 21:00 / 9:00 PM)
Hmmm, that's very strange... this was indeed fixed, and it seemed fine when I ran a quick regression test last night. Thanks for making us aware of this; we'll keep an eye on it!cheers Daiman
Out of curiousity I thought t1 killer kerb was fixed? Just went flying then so maybe that's just how it is?
It is still a damn high kerb so yeah. Was the wheel instantly off when you hit it?cheers Daiman

I got at least a puncture but that could have been a result of flying into the wallIt is still a damn high kerb so yeah. Was the wheel instantly off when you hit it?
