Pfff race to forgot...

Q: 13th. Was oke could have 10th. Was couple of times 0.100 up but couldnt get it.

Race:

To forget. When i joined the grid, i heard the load setup noise.
Didnt paid really attention to it until we went racing. Its was back to default setup......
Horrible to drive, lost some positions, finally i spun also. Back to 25......
Whole race trying to climb back, finally to back to 15th with my pb in the last lap.
Hope the broadcast was nice. :)
Cya next race.

Qualy:
I was stoked with my result - was less then 0.1 off my pb, good enough for 4th place.

Race:
Matthias made a mistake into turn 1 giving me 3rd place. I immediately gave up on any hope of staying in touch with Florian and Greg (their pace was crazy fast) and instead concentrated on keeping Matthias behind me. But for some reason I couldn't keep my tire temps down as I had done in practice, so I had to drive under the limit slightly.

Matthias made a pass on me that I wasn't expecting at all, and in my desperation to pass him back I locked up like a noob into the chicane. Lucky I didn't hit anyone, but I was really annoyed with myself for making such a rookie mistake.

Several laps later I passed Hugo who had spun, and then Jan let me through. I was up to 6th but didn't have the pace to catch up to 5th.

Other than the spin, good race, I'm satisfied with the result.

Thanks to Remco, Ivo, Simon Smith and RD for running the event.

excellent race to commentate on, I hope the broadcast went well. I;m coming down with a cold so my voice was going in places.

I've already sent a mail to ask for it to be uploaded asap :)

grrrrr... lool
again made mistake in last lap... :s
lose P1 for Florian who put some good pressure all the race long...
still happy with P2 and points for leading lap :D
gratz to all finishers!! cu on next track all ;)

This wasn't good at all...

Quali was good, p5

Race was hard. The difference between the Porsche and the American racing cars is the straight line speed. The Porsche is faster in the corners but on the straight line all you can see is dust...

Therefore its almost impossible to overtake a good driver in an American car. You have to make a move in the corner, and that takes a lot of risk. I think that the GTR has got the same problem, but i don't know for sure.

aaah well, lets see what next weeks race will bring. But i can tell you, this is really frustrating...

Puh, what a race! Not even one minute to relax. First, I had Hugo in full scale in my mirrors. But his car flipped really strange during an attempt to overtake me. In the race I saw only his rear wing standing up in my mirror... I watched the replay, because I thougt I closed the door to much. But it seemed that there was an invisible wall or stone or something like that... He came on the gras and whoop, the car slided and rolled over... Luckily, not my fault and I was not hit...

After that, Kjell took Hugos Position in my mirror for the rest of the race... My setup was really difficult under braking and turn-in, but good and stable on corner exit. That helped me to always pull slightly away after a corner so neither Hugo or Kjell had a real chance to attack. But I could not allow me one mistake for the whole race... That was realy hard. But very fair driving from both, Hugo and Kjell! Thanks for that great race! I am sad about the accident of Hugo, that was really bad luck.

Thank good, that we have two weeks time now until the next race...

Thanks to Remco, Ivo and RD!

cu next time on track!
Harald

So, I am curious how everyone did on tires in the Skyline. I passed Fernando at the end, whom was trying to make it around to the line on a flat. I decided to pit at about 2/3 distance, as I saw that there was absolutely no way I was gonna make it. This dropped me down from 13th to 21st. Had a fun ride back up to 18th though. :)
well i decided that instead of nursing a car around for 55 minutes that i was just going have fun and the fun lasted until lap 8 (i think) when i spun at the chicane, as per usual my tyres were a tad on the hot side, but i hit the wall a bit hard and it killed my engine, i did see Fernando spin at turn one just a few corners before so i guess his tyres were getting hot also :frown:

I think, I can't post html or embedded code. Here is the link to the SRTV video archives. The downloadlink your can find under the description.

Have fun :) It was a very good broadcast.

Pretty disappointing race for me... I was so off the pace that I couldn't do a thing... Only cars I saw during the race were the cars coming to lap me. Hope I did OK in that department.
Think I was driving this track completely wrong from the start, so I concentrated on trying to get the right lines, succeeded in that as I at least set a new PB during the race. On the plus side I did manage to finish the race without incidents so I at least scored some points as well .

Hopefully I'll be able to race at least somebody in the next race!

That was a nice race…

Qualified in a 7’th spot, might possibly had managed to shave of some 10’th on that time, but then i would have needed a ”lucky lap”.

Race started to my liking without any pile up on a wrongly parked car on the grid, so this time I actually could start the race from my qual position and not from the back of the grid…….
Race went well and quite un-dramatic
I managed to keep a steady phase throughout the whole race without any major mistakes or spins.

Mid race somewhere my fellow Viper racer Simon had made a mistake and I had him behind me, I held him behind for some laps until I saw that he was undamaged (and still faster than me) and then let him pass instead of causing us both an accident.

Some 10-8 laps or so from the end Jari started to getting closer and closer, and at the same time I had to preserve my front tires that was going of a bit to fast. Last 5 laps Jari were up my rear bumper obviously faster. I had to take the corners defensively making sure he couldent take the inside line and at the same time make sure I had a good exit and straight line speed.
I managed to keep my place and ended 7’th witch im happy for but it was a hard finish.
Great battle there Jari :)

Thanks RD and all organisers
Grats podium finishers

Well, another 'interesting' race for me, lots of good and bad bits lol!

Qually : Only managed a low 53 (PB was a 52.4) so not great, landed me 18th :-( All my fault, just never strung a good lap together.

Race : Got a good start, made some places up and got to 15/16th only to late brake myself off and wind up 23rd I think. Battled my way back up the field, good scrap with Lenno :) lasted quite a few laps, but in the end yeilded to him, but was great fun :). Then just saved my tires and held 17th till the last couple of laps I realized I had enough tire left to push Mr Atkins in 16th. One lap later I was all over him, got a good run onto the start/finish straight only to out brake myself and go wide at T1 letting him through, got very close to him again last lap, but ran out of time! Another great fight :)

All in all, great fun race even if I didnt make the most of my pace, thanks to Remco, Ivo and RD for this brilliant league!
