same issues here! i have the latest Preview 79 and applied everything as described.
the app wont even show up in game as before.. i only get one notification at the race start that drs is available in 2 laps... but i can open it whenever i want.. same as the Ai..

it worked before on some older versions.

So let me get this straight, this requires a newer version of CSP than even the preview builds? Neat.
No, where did that info come from? The author states that the app needs no older than v1.79. Which is the current version (preview or not).

Though, currently I also have problems with the app... Trying to solve them.

@Schmawlik

I don't know why but I noticed that if I use the same car with drs (Formula Hybrid 2022 S) all works good from the first lap. If I use a combined grid (Formula Hybrid 2022 S + Formula Hybrid 2022) DRS rule has a problem (rules works for me but not for AI). Both cars has same conditions in CM and obviously all is correct into data folders. Tested several times and I can confirm this problem.
In this situation I solved copying skins of Ferrari from FH2022 to FH2022S using always the same car).

CSP 0.1.78 / 2051
CM 0.8.2441.39642
F1 Regulations v0.8.1.1

I try different version of this app and:
- F1Regs_0.7.0-alpha - app work correctly, but AI are slow at DRS zones
- F1Regs_0.8.1.1-alpha - app don't work at all

I do everything according to instruction, and always change all files when change app version. I also tested it on CSP 0.1.78 and 0.1.79 preview5
