Rain in the Shaders Mod (Early implementation)

It would be like the t-cam of formula cars, where you can see raindrops without windshield wipers. Sure you could not see the track well, but it would give a feeling of total rain!

- install Shader Patch v0.1.23-preview92-rc2 or later:

- install Assetto Corsa Wet Mod by A.Fracasso 1.61:

- install BLM Lights and BLM Car

Activate them in CM:
Goto CM’s SETTINGS → ASSETTO CORSA → APPS
check the check boxes of “BLM Lights” and “BLM Car”!
- Choose a “wet” variant of a track like “Red Bull Ring wet”. Choose a weather – every gbwSuite weather supports the “wet” particles.
- Select a Kunos car (or a mod car, which supports wipers)
- Start an AC session via DRIVE menu.
- When driving, choose the BLM Apps (via the dock on the right side, scoll down to the last apps)
- Activate “Wet” to get the additional wet shader effects.
- Press on the raindrops button to increase windscreen raindrops and get the wipers moving.

Hm. For the weather you need CM. But i never tried to do the Shader Patch without CM.
Nope no joke. I love CM, I'm actually using it right now for live skin changes in CM showroom but it doesn't work as well as the default launcher for what I want it to do. To give a few examples I get regular server didn't respond in time or content not available errors in the CM MP section and the search function doesn't work the same as the normal launcher. Stick LAC in the CM launcher and no LA Canyon servers show up, stick LAC in the main launcher and all LA Canyon servers show up.
This one might be fixed now but once I set my server up and uploaded all mods to the server, went to join it through CM and CM told me I didn't have the content for my own server, loaded the regular launcher and joined right away.
CM is an absolute game changer for many reasons but I prefer the vanilla launcher. To clarify though, I have no issue running through CM whenever I'm using something that is CM dependant but when that isn't the case I use vanilla launcher every time

Disturbing that the rain effect looks better than in ACC. Just need to get quicker and more affected by wind and then some sounds to go with the mod.

Thats crazy. This are the first steps and it looks really believable. And this is why i'm sure AC have not seen its real golden days yet, they are just coming with the next months and years....
I'd guess the end game with rain is that its automatically adjusted to the weather settings in CM, including wind direction and wiper use. IMO the biggest WTF is the usage of the wiper animation.. a good sign that the direction of the Mod is not just cosmetics but deeper manipulation of the base game. Who knows what else they'd got in the pipeline
X4fab and I are working together, to add wet effects and so on, to his fantastic Shader Patch mod! So I'm creating a custom sound bank, from which to find effects such as rain falling on the car, the wet road, windshield wipers and so on.
Indicators have been in for a long time actually. The new thing in the latest build is animated progressive blinkers like on some Audis.
The thing with blinkers is: 1: We need someone to make blinkers for pretty much every kunos car, because most don't have a seperate shape that can be illuminated, so very little cars have blinkers yet and 2: Ilja needs to figure out how to hook into AC in a way that we can have custom hotkeys for wipers, blinkers etc.
