AC Radical SR3 XXR @ Silver City Raceway, Thu 13th April 2023

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
Speaking of newish cars, have we done a race in that Ferrari 365 GTB/4 by Pessio (on here)? Between that and their Alfa GTAM mod (one of my favorite cars in AC), maybe a vintage multiclass race at some point could be fun? Lots of wide open road here :coffee::)

Or we could take them to a Fat-Alfie track for some "interesting" blue flag overtaking :roflmao:

@Medilloni Any set up tips you want to share with the class? :p

Not sure Robert, I jumped in with a Zandvoort setup I'd done, but added +1 rr wing and had a play with front rebound to damp understeer on-power (for final bend mainly). Most ppl hate my setups, but you're welcome to it:roflmao: It's on meds, softs are a lot faster with it, I think....

So true John , some cars have absolutely no adjustments, even if out of frustration you dial in something ridiculous, it still makes no difference.
This car is very good for setups.
funnily I have also noticed some cars only work well with all adjustments in synchronicity. Adjust a couple of things and it makes it worse , but adjusting every thing in a harmony seems to work well, the Audi LMP1 is a good example of that.
:)
You can make a lot of what you think are sensible adjustments to the Audi, and you end up with a slow car.:(

Your reminded me of a convo Errnie....
Some of the guys I race with have raced/driven various iterations Radicals - and Shaun's version, whilst a superb effort, had some setup issues - eg, no matter how much rr wing you put on it doesn't affect top speed, but reducing it makes the handling worse:O_o: Despite that, I've always enjoyed it (once I found out!).

With this xxr version, they're saying it replicates the way downforce builds with speed (as irl), and yeh, setup changes have a bigger impact than previous versions. At low speed traction is 'interesting' to get right, but med to high speed stuff is simply great, knife edge stuff:inlove:

Damn ****, after getting loss of force feedback from my T150 at the start of the last races from front row (strange it mostly happened at the club races from change qualy to race) I set up the T300 I recently bought. Everything works, did some test laps but despite tightening that glorious quick release plus the screw as tight as I can manage the wheel wobbles and it doesnt tighten up 100 percent which is a nogo, wtf.......
If anyone has a T300 and has any tips to get it tight a feedback is appreciated. Didnt practice a single lap for todays race, hope I can fix the issue. Seems to be a common issue of the t300 as some research showed.....

Hey,
Don't bother with a screw - it doesn't seem to affect anything.
Since it's a race day - what you can do is only elbow greasing it and screwing the 'qr' as tight as you can. For the future drives - there afe 3d printed qr rings that help tightening that piece of engineering art.

@thom462

I´m a former T300 owner and also didn´t bother with the Spax screw to secure the "Quick release"
( an odd construction for a "professional" simwheel)
Rather I used a "belt wrench" like this one for my various sim wheels:

About the wobbly wheel, that is indeed a known and documented problem with Thrustmaster, but it´s often not in the QR but in the wheel itself.

Check the bolts that connect the wheel with the hub, the Allen bolts on the front but also the Phillips heads on the rear.

CAREFULL, the threads they go into are plastic.
In the end I used mild threadlocker to lenghten the inspection intervalls :(

Apologies seems to hard car for me atm I couldn't put a lap together and I don't want to destroy someone's race hope you understand
Sure Krzystof. This was a hard combo for less experienced drivers. I quit myself after going off and got stuck in the barrier.

Thx for the info, I will have a look at that.

Thx Carsten, I will check that.
