Sector3 Studios are set to release the 2020 WTCR car pack for RaceRoom Racing Experience, and ahead of launch day, the development team have started to tease their first preview images.
  • New models from Cupra and Renault.
  • All the teams, drivers, cars and liveries from WTCR 2020.
  • Expected to release in the next few days.
Continuing with the official licence to replicate the FIA WTCR championship - the top level touring car category in the world, Sector3 Studios have recently dropped some exciting looking preview images from their upcoming 2020 DLC pack release.

Although 2020 was another difficult year for the real world series, thanks in no small part to the worldwide health pandemic, the category did manage to deliver a full championship season, mostly on European soil, and also a few new cars and team / driver combinations made appearances during the year.

Keen to ensure the latest version of the category is represented within the simulation, Sector3 Studios have now added the latest Cupra model and the brand-new to RaceRoom Renault Mégane RS TCR - which honestly looks fabulous in what is, for me, the best class of car within RaceRoom Racing Experience.

Check out the new preview images below:

Any new tracks or just cars?
Just the cars here I think. All the tracks that managed to hold a race in 2020 are already in RRE either way after Aragón was added to the sim last year either way although there are 4 tracks missing from the original calendars. Historically (at least in the 6 years I've been playing but I think the packs before were the same) the WTCC/WTCR packs have only had the cars with one or two of the tracks typically being released throughout the year like Aragón was last summer :)

Nice to see its been released today, shame ive gotta wait to buy it due to being signed off work recently due to mental health leading to lack of funds  will keep test driving them in the store to keep me busy haha
When I asked on the S3 forums, they said that the current WTCRs are being brought up to the same spec as the 2020s. So apart from the new Cupra and Renault, they should all handle the same. I think.

Ah thats good, just a sucker for new liveries and cars haha tbf i mentioned a while back when they ran them in their ranked time trial things about the physics feeling different and everyone thought i was mad. Seems it wasnt the case

The 2018's were brought up to 2019 specs in a patch shortly after the 2019's were released. It seems this time it's been done immediately, which is cool.

That said, the Cupra is once again available in black & green which is all I care about! :D

I'm not the biggest fan of R3E's interpretation of these cars, but I'll be buying this out of sentimentality, as this is the first ever piece of simracing content that officially (as in, not a mod) features a driver from my country, in this case, Santi Urrutia.

Plus, even with the old engine this game still looks gorgeous and it's not too stressful on my PC, so I always find myself loading massive grids on big tracks.

I love touring cars and Raceroom....But $20 usd at 51% off for owning the 19 pack which converted to CAD is around $25 for more or less a skin pack, lose the golf gain a Megane.....with 3 same black paints
A bit much imo

To be clear, it's not a case of them all handling the same as they all have their various attributes. What we actually mean is they all use the same tyre, have closely matched power to weight, downforce, etc and are performance balanced on lap times
