Sector3 Studios have revealed a new, and admittedly rather easy to guess, track preview image from some upcoming new content. Can you tell where it is?

Ok, I highly suspect this will take about 10 seconds for the right guess to come in, but nevertheless I'll give it a try...

Earlier today, RaceRoom Racing Experience developers Sector3 Studios revealed a small teaser image from an upcoming new circuit set to be made available in the simulation in the near future. Just the single picture, but with some revealing background scenery, I wonder if our ever knowledgeable community can work out which new track is heading to R3E in the very near future??

RaceRoom Racing Experience is a free to play racing simulation from Sector3 Studios.

There are many great racetracks - why are the same things made in different games?
Folembray, Autodromo La Chutana, Circuit Du Var, Pebble Beach, Saintonge, Circuit Du Laquais, Circuit Du Grand Sambuc, Circuit d'Issoire, Kotarr, etc... I've never seen these tracks in original games.

I like small obscure club circuits as well as bigger tracks, but realistically they're not going to be a draw card for games developers trying to make a return on investment...if you really want them, why not look up to see if there's any lidar data of the areas they're in and try building them for AC or rf2 or something?

Because they sell games and DLC. Silverstone, Monza, Spa, Nürburgring, Nordschleife... these are the tracks that anyone with even a passing interest in motorsports has heard of, seen on TV, and maybe even visited in person. They're the tracks they want to race on in order to emulate their heroes.

I fully agree that it's a shame that lesser known tracks rarely make it into racing sims, as there are many excellent ones out there that are more fun to race than the "premier" tracks. Just don't expect it to change anytime soon... it's business. But hey, we have R3E and they do release some fairly obscure tracks now and again.

(And it's probably the business model that people complain about that allows them to do so...) :D

So why should you wait? R3E is free to download and comes with several good tracks and cars. You only have to pay for addition additional content and you can buy cars/tracks one by one. And it is nowhere as expensive as iracing. Great sim.
I was on their site and wanted to buy it all. Realized, after i figured out what the hell virtual Money was and how much it was in real Money, that i had to Shell out around 100€ and i just didnt have that much Money laying around, lol. :D Gonna have to wait Before i can pull the trigger.

@Alex72, it can be a lot cheaper than that. Just make sure that you BUY the vRP (virtual money) first, and then use that to buy the content. That is always cheaper than buying the content directly for cash!

Premium Pack: £90 or 9999vRP (€103)
10,000vRP: £65 (€75)

That's a £25 (€28) saving right there! For more info, check out this guide.

Please don't start another silly "debate" on the whole free-to-play thing. It is what it is, we all know what it is, and we all have a choice whether to buy into the system or not. We don't need yet another thread being derailed. Thank you.

Always excited when R3E puts something new out...even if 98% of my time is spent on the Nordschleife in a DTM'92. Will probably buy track anyway to support.

@Alex72 - Do yourself a favor and DL the game. There is a nice bit of free content to give you a taste. If you like the game, take the plunge and buy the premium pack. You will save yourself £ in the long run. I have spent above the price already for the premium and don't have all cars or tracks because i bought individual items like a lame duck noob. R3E deserves support though so I'm not too upset by being loose with money on R3E. if however you see yourself using only one type of car at a few tracks, then just buy them.

In terms of R3E Pay model - I think it is great in that it is very flexible and you can buy what you want. You can buy the whole game for c.£65 or just buy tracks and cars you will use. The free content is solid too. It can be expensive if you buy lots of individual items and dont avail of Packs or VRP as detailed by Ross above.

For the love of God stay out of multiplayer RaceRoom Raceway and the Canhard cars; if you thought AC public @ Monza was crazy, you will see some unbelievable antics on there lol
